The platform live at Golden Nugget casinos
After the recent award of supplier license by the Nevada regulator, the American land casino games manufacturer Bally Technologies, Inc. has announced the launch of the first iGaming platform from a licensed supplier in the United States.
At present, the new free-play platform is available at Golden Nugget casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, N.J., while the new Bally-powered website can be accessed by visiting Golden Nugget Poker.
Three Golden Nugget Hotels and Casinos located in Las Vegas and Laughlin, Nevada and Atlantic City, New Jersey are operated by the Fertitta family and its network of wholly-owned affiliates. Fertitta Interactive additionally has its own online poker software development subsidiary called Cyberarts.
“This is a monumental time for the Golden Nugget as we launch a play-for-free site and introduce our loyal patrons to a new way to enjoy gaming entertainment when they can’t be on property,” said Tilman J. Fertitta, chairman and owner of Golden Nugget.
“We believe that online gaming is inevitable in the United States, and that our free-play site will enable the Golden Nugget to be well positioned to compete when U.S. laws allow for online gaming.”
The enthusiasm is shared by Richard Haddrill, Bally Technologies’ Chief Executive Officer who said: “This partnership will demonstrate the advantages of having an open iGaming platform, which allows for best-in-class content.”
It is expected that, over the coming months, further development of Bally’s iGaming platform will enable the Golden Nugget to offer integrated solutions as a part of their Bally mobile, online, and traditional system offerings. A “single view of the player” will be achieved when Golden Nugget patrons start using various gaming devices across a number of available distribution channels.
Bally Technologies’ iGaming platform is open, giving operators the opportunity to choose content from different providers. The platform is also designed for mobile integration with its ability to accommodate online betting casino table games, video slots, and sports betting in addition to its regular poker offering.
