An announcement was made this week by the GEObet gambling network, an online gambling technology and services provider whose aim is to bringing Native American tribal casinos online, that the first Native American online casino and poker room will be launched on it in November.
According to the network CEO Gerry Gionet, "GEObet is helping Native American tribes to fulfill the natural extension of their rights as sovereign lands to bring their casino gambling businesses into the new millennium.
"As competition for land-based gaming gets fiercer, all land-based casino groups, whether they are in California, Nevada or anywhere else in North America, will bring their businesses online. Tribal gaming has the right to protect its interests and compete with state and private casino groups."
He also underlined that he seeks to build a whole network of online tribal casinos which would then be able to share liquidity in communal games like poker and accumulate shared online slot jackpots.
Gionet also opined that "If tribal nations and tribal casino groups join forces, they will create the largest gaming force in the world. We want to open tribal gaming up to a worldwide audience, and reach far beyond the players within a three-hour car ride of tribal lands," adding that tribal online gambling will bring employment and technical education to tribal lands, and develop a high-tech services industry.
He concluded by saying that all this would include developing server facilities on tribal lands and creating jobs in Internet security, computer programming, Web design and other online gambling services.
