An announcement came this week from the Irish online and land gambling group Paddy Power plc that it has appointed Ulric Jerome as a new non-executive director, and as a member of the firm's Audit Committee.
French-born Jerome holds a degree in economics acquired in Montréal. Prior to this he held a Founding Partner and Executive Director role at Pixmania, and he is a member of the Board of Directors of eCommerce Europe, an association representing companies selling products and services online to consumers in Europe.
Commenting on a new addition to the company’s team, Nigel Northridge, chairman of Paddy Power plc said: "Ulric's pioneering and entrepreneurial approach, paired with his deep understanding of consumer technology, will be of great benefit as we seek to extend our competitive advantage in the online sector."
