San Francisco City Attorney's Office investigates allegations against San Francisco Public Utilities Commission employees in two divisions for internet gambling on company time.
The investigation, including both supervisors and employees, will conclude soon, and its results will be published said a city spokesman.
The Commission spokesman Tyrone Jue said that the city was taking the allegations very seriously, but would not comment on the numbers of employees allegedly involved, or what penalty they would face if the investigation showed misconduct.
According to the official employee handbook, the misuse of city resources can lead to serious consequences such as termination of employment proceedings.
