Yesterday's announcement of two final bidders for the Greek gambling monopoly OPAP contained no mentioning of the Playtech-Gauselmann consortium, which was one of the prominent interested parties in the earlier stages.
It appears that OPAP turned out to be less attractive than predicted by the Greek government, mostly due to high taxation proposals, a slew of court cases and European Commission compliance problems.
