Pokermambo.com, an online poker
site on the Entraction network, is to expand its operations into online casino and bingo activities, powered by the Växjö, Sweden-based software developer Play 'n GO.
Pokermambo is a joint venture between experienced gaming operator Goalventures and the Spanish sports media company Prime Time Sport in co-operation with Redbet.
"When it comes to online gaming entertainment, we're on the ball – from the bingo ball to the roulette ball to the football!" quips Johan Törnqvist, CEO of Play'n GO. "Delivering our instant casino games, bingo and back office system to PokerMambo is another major goal for us. An increasing number of successful gaming sites like PokerMambo will opt to offer a complete line of entertainment ranging from blackjack to bingo. Play'n GO will be there to deliver the interoperable systems that facilitate the fun."
Play 'n GO was established in 2004 and uses a high speed Internet server cluster with support for up to 40 000 simultaneous users on each server node, and a transaction rate of 3 500 transactions per second. Games clients are developed using Flash and J2ME technology for distribution through Internet browsers, IVT, DTV and mobile phones.
Goalventures Ltd and Prime Time Sport were founded by Esteve Calzada, former Chief Marketing Officer of FC Barcelona. As the latest venture by the companies, Pokermambo.com has a strong Latino profile to attract players in the fast growing Spanish and South American markets. The original launch of Pokermambo.com on the Entraction network was supported by aggressive offline marketing campaigns around the La Liga games FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid Classico, Sevilla vs Villareal and Valencia vs Espanyol recently. The campaign included exposure on Spanish TV channels.
"Pokermambo.com has great potential to become a success as the site is managed by people with a strong track record in media and gambling," said Peter Åström, CEO of Entraction. "The Spanish market is one of our selected target markets and we have recently established a sales office in Madrid. "
