California Senator Convicted and Resigns from Senate Governmental Organization Committee

California Senator Rod Wright was convicted this week in Los Angeles on eight felony charges for voter fraud and perjury. He resigned from the influential Senate Governmental Organization Committee responsible for state gambling bills.

Wright is in favor of legalized online poker in the state and has written numerous related failed bills.

Nicholas Kisberg, the chief executive of, said:
