New Jersey Democrats Oppose Federal Online Gambling Ban

New Jersey Democrats have expressed their opposition to Sheldon Adelson's goal to seek a federal ban on online gambling saying that regulation and licensing of online gambling is up to each individual state.

State Senate President Stephen Sweeney said, "It is disappointing that certain elements are working to dismantle New Jersey's landmark internet gambling law. We have quickly become a national leader in the world of internet gambling, and we simply cannot afford to have all our hard work and effort undone by the whims of a few down in Washington."

State Sen. Ray Lesniak said, “Instead of a dangerous, overseas black market, consumers in the state of New Jersey have a safe place to go – a program that not only includes essential consumer protections, but also generates thousands of dollars in revenue.”

Hey Stephen Sweeney, could you let our government know that while New Jersey is reaping the benefits of legalized gambling and getting extra revenue to pay for things that you won't have to ask for help from the federal government to pay for. If they do not listen to you maybe we the people should not reelect those people back into office next election.
