Playtech plc will be taking its content to sea after a recent deal with MSC Cruises for the use of its Neon Casino Management System.
Aboard the cruise liner, MSC Preziosa, the operator will monitor its gaming operations and offer a range of promotions.
MSC Cruises corporate casino operations manager Sergio Porcasi said, "We chose Neon because the system offers a modern platform that can cover our entire operation, both on board and ashore. We felt that Playtech was able to adapt the solution to our specific needs, and the first phase of the implementation has been a success.
"We have worked closely with MSC Cruises to create a system that meets the unique demands of a cruise ship casino and will now deliver additional enhancements including improvements to help MSC Cruises to drive its casino business forward," said Chris Dempsey, director of Playtech subsidiary Intelligent Gaming.

Never been on a cruise myself, too much bacteria making everyone sick. I had not heard that Playtech was renowned for emptying your wallet in record time. That makes me want to stay away. I thought most cruise ships already had casinos on board and had no need for any new technology. I will be interesting to see how this...

Has to be said, I cant help feeling some of Playtechs table game offerings will go down well on cruise ships, even if they are renowned for emptying your wallet in record time it still has to be an increase on RTP from those scandalous table games and AWP slot machines they usually have on board. I've only experienced it...

I've only experienced it myself the once and was gobsmacked but I've heard true horror stories from friends and family, so come on Playtech, do something positive here and you'll gain some respect I'm sure!
