Poll Reveals that South Carolina is Against Online Gambling

The results of a South Carolina poll from Palmetta Politics revealed that the majority is opposed to the legalization of online gambling in the state.

"Online gambling is not an issue that the general public, in my opinion, has a lot of familiarity with to know if it's really a net gain or net loss for the state," said Pollster Jim Lee. "Most people really don't see a reason why they should really say yes to that question unless there's some carrot there."

While online gambling was a no go, the issue of legalized marijuana was supported by more than have of those surveyed.

I never heard of this Palmetta Politics and we know nothing about how this pole was initiated and executed. So that pole stinks. Yea they voted for legalized marijuana. Did they get high right before they started the pole? Come on, you know that we all want what we don't have, with the exception of a few diseases. I say, they need to take that pole back to the strip club that it came from. We need a pole that is believable, like the one at the white house, where the US flag is flying. Then we need to just go on and let South Carolina succeed from the union, they're unamerican IMO, LOL..............

Hi, I do not know how reliable this company, Palmetta Politics is regarding public poles. How their polls are conducted, what type of data is used, and how their poles can be verified, etc. This by itself could skew the outcome of any type poll on any type of subject. However, with that said, if as the article states (comment by a pollster) that the public at large does not see any incentive in approving online gaming is purely the pollster’s speculative opinion. Granted South Carolina is one of the southern states and these states to tend to lean toward the conservative side in almost every issue. However, I think for this article to be a true indication of how the majority of South Carolinian's weigh-in on yeah or nay for legalized online gaming, the author needs to supply us readers with more stats to back-up the polls conclusion; not just opinion! Give us the stats! P.S. Thumbs-up to the Marijuana nod!
