The ultimate golf experience awaits players in Microgaming’s latest tournament slot, The Argyle Open.
This video slot game, initially launched in 2010, features 5 reels and 40 paylines and includes a three stage tournament bonus game.
The bonus game prompts players to select one of five pro-golfers to hit the green for one hole and putt the hole within the least number of strokes in order to be awarded the maximum number of free spins. Players win as many as 20 free spins with a 5x multiplier and advance to the next hole each time the bonus is triggered.
The Argyle Open will be used in this month’s Euro 100,000 network tournament. The tournament entry fee is Euro 10 and offers the top 50 players cash prizes with Euro 5,000 set aside for the first place winner.

Its better than 'Karate Pig' at least, that game is nigh on impossible to generate a big lead from, and I must have played hundreds of freerolls on that game now and never finished in the money once. When they were using Loaded for those games, at least you had a chance. Even Spring Break/Thunderstruck... I'm sure it hasn't...

I'm sure it hasn't escaped their notice that the games they are using now REQUIRE continues in order to be ITM.

Really? whats up with microgaming picking games like these for tournaments, the bonus round will take up time and the payouts are quite low. Microgaming is really starting to be an unfavourite software provider for me.

Slot is okay. But I dont think its suit multiplayer. I feel they should make something new and implent most of newest slots into tournaments that would be a natural thing to do which i dont understand they havent done?? I would give players a feel and to try out new slots. But I guess they want players to deposit to play...

I've played the slot a little recently in other tournaments, and its quite good fun, but I just don't think it suits tournament play so well, much like Thunderstruck2 and Immortal Romance. As for the €100,000 network tournament, those kinds of competitions are basically just richest man wins, even if your lucky enough to hit a monster 5000x bet win on your first batch of credits, somebody always has the money to blaze past you eventually... :(
