Ladbrokes Withdraws from Grey Markets

Ladbrokes Withdraws from Grey Markets Ladbrokes has withdrawn its online gambling services from grey markets including Switzerland, Norway and Hungary after an internal legal and regulatory review.

In order to meet standards of upcoming UK legislation, the company will continue to pull out of “grey markets”.

This decision comes at a time when Norwegian Authorities warned unlicensed operators to cease operation to Norwegian punters and Switzerland’s plan to implement more stringent measures against illegal foreign operators.

  • Well, I guess they are shooting at UK's field.. I had some money on Ladbrokes, won on poker. After some time, when I tried to withdraw, my account got locked.. I contacted support and they said that they are not leting players from my country to play anymore.. I was a bit shocked, because they would let me play, but wont let me withdraw. Not sure about casino games.. Its nice that they are letting people know where they are shuting their operations, because there was never a warning in my case.
  • It's not just the Uk players, it's in general, that their service has been lacking: that's what happens when "the shoes get too big" for the carrier, so to speak. I also was surprised they would ditch MG, but i do like that they still have a lot of other cool games.. this might indeed be the best thing they did, and i also hope they will be focusing on their front end service.
  • Hopefully this will lead to Ladbrokes devoting more resources to their UK players, who I think they have been treating with utter contempt since ditching Microgaming. I for one refuse to play there now, and its not because I dislike Playtech - the support and promotions are diabolical, and Corals/Paddys offer everything they do, and they do it MUCH better.
