World Match Receives Approval to Provide Online Games to UK Market

World Match Receives Approval to Provide Online Games to UK Market Online game developer World Match, based in Malta, has received approval from the UK Gambling Commission to provide its services to the UK market.

Andrea Boratto, Executive Director of the World Match said: "The UK market is one of the most important in Europe and the valuable authorization received by the Gambling Commission confirms our strategy to strengthen World Match's position in regulated markets. Italy, Spain and United Kingdom: exceeding the requirements of regulated games is above all synonymous of assurance, fairness and transparency for the players and the market."
  • Does Andrea Boratto know about "The point of Consumption Tax?" Surely yes...... But what will the tax mean to World Match. Evidently not so much that it would be a deal breaker in coming to the UK market. There have been more than several off site operators decline the new UK tax invitation and several leave their market. I know a little about how that feels being from the US.
  • Whilst I am glad that some of these smaller games developers like Worldmatch are getting their licenses to continue operating here in the UK, I really hate the overall implications of these new regulations... surely it was intended to benefit us players in the UK ? And yet, predictably, so far the results have been massively negative.
