Caputo’s Latest Proposal

New Jersey Assemblyman Ralph Caputo, known for advocating tougher licensing regime for the online gambling industry, wants an exclusion of Pokerstars from the New Jersey legalized online gambling market.

Caputo took the spotlight again this week with his latest proposal, an attempt to force online operators to submit to an even tougher investigation before being granted a license. The bill has been supported by the Assembly Tourism, Gaming and Arts Committee which has approved its provisions requiring online gambling applicants to obtain full casino licenses. This process will involve intense investigation, public hearings and the permission of the state Casino Control Commission.
