Warwick Bartlett, a gambling consultant with Global Betting and Gaming Consultancy, published his predictions for the coming year and what may be in store for the online gambling industry on the company’s website.
Bartlett is a fan of cybercurrencies in that it cannot be overprinted by the government as the player demand grows; however it may take a bit longer to be accepted by the mainstream due to money laundering concerns.
"The payment solution market is very competitive - I doubt there is any cost benefit at all in using digital currency over existing banking and payment providers. Risks and no benefits so far is all I see," he said.
Bartlett also has thoughts on a variety of topics and regions including his opinion that the UK point-of-consumption tax won't truly impact the industry until 2016.

Warwick Bartlett does have some interesting things to say. Some of the things he says are really not confrontational, like how "the point of consumption tax" is not going to be anything to worry about until 2016. That makes sense because the tax didn't go into effect until December 1 of this year. I think that many of Bartlett's predictions although true are more like "just common sense" statements that most of us would state if we examined the same statistics.
