Senator Lindsey Graham, on the side of Sheldon Adelson, recently admitted to never actually using email and this week another one of Adelson’s supporters, Andy Abboud, made another interesting comment.
In an interview with Gambling Compliance, Abboud said that he believes Adelson will not accept exemptions for state lotteries and tribes in his campaign to get US politicians to ban online gambling.
The comment leads the public to the conclusion that Adelson and his money control what happens with regard to his bill, the Restoration of the American Wire Act, which is now at committee stage in the House.
Not only is the statement somewhat arrogant but it raises concerns that an unelected individual can influence politicians if he has enough money.
It seems interesting that someone fighting against online gambling has never sent an email before and last year Abboud said that the technical briefing on the security aspects of online gambling were over his head. This is the team that is supposed to be qualified to judge the online gambling industry and its technology?

Agreed! Thoroughly outrageous, of course its so easy to form an opinion against something you do not understand, even more so if you have literally no desire to learn anything about it as well! Seems its going to take another generation or two for anybody with half a clue to get into power in the worlds governments, as...

Seems its going to take another generation or two for anybody with half a clue to get into power in the worlds governments, as these professions are largely filled with, basically, dinosaurs of society....

If you can not write an email , which tells me youre not computer savy should have nothing to say or do with anything that takes part on the internet or computer. If you can not write an email , which tells me youre not computer savy should have nothing to say or do with anything that takes part on the internet or computer. This is the most ridiculous stand on something Ive ever heard . Apparently he hasn't gambled online or knows much about anything pertaining to gambling. Hopefully bribes wont be passed along or perks to sway certain individuals . Id love to hear his theories on why online gambling should not be allowed. They are always quick to oppose something but offer no reason in theory behind it . If you can provide a decent argument you shouldn't even be allowed to suggest something so ridiculous. It gets my fur up when these old crows try to pull stunts like this .

There are a lot of people out there that dislike things, new things, just because they don't understand them. It looks like this is part of the problem. Sheldon Adelson thinks that his money will prevail in this situation, not good reasoning or an offer of a better way or idea. Adelson and his cronies don't understand how...
There are a lot of people out there that dislike things, new things, just because they don't understand them. It looks like this is part of the problem. Sheldon Adelson thinks that his money will prevail in this situation, not good reasoning or an offer of a better way or idea. Adelson and his cronies don't understand how online gambling works or how internet technology works in general. He's one of them old white men who think that he can buy anyone or he wants anything he wants using something he knows well, how to buy people. IMO he is way out of his league.
