Back Cherry Obtains Poland's Sports Betting License

Poland, not too long ago, introduced new gambling regulations that have taken effect in this Eastern European country. The second gambling operator to obtain the new license handed out by Poland's gambling authority is Cherry – their Polish subsidiary, Cherry Online Polska is now officially the owner of the sports betting license and is the ninth licensed operator in the country.

The one person most responsible for this application being granted to Cherry is Patryk Wlodarski, business consultant, who stated: “We are proud to be the one of the first companies that were granted the license. Poland is a fully regulated market and since 2017 amendment to the gambling bill it became our priority to obtain a licence allowing us to offer our services online in full respect to the current laws. Now with a company in Warsaw holding a licence, Cherry is in position to introduce its first online sportsbook brand to the polish customers very soon.”

Cherry https://www.cherry.se/en/, who became a shareholder of Game Lounge towards the end of last year is a Swedish-based company established in 1963, when it was founded by Bill Lindwall and Rolf Lundstrom. The name, CherryCasino, came to be in 1972, when the cherry logo also became their trademark. They have entered the online gambling sector in 1996. Today, the company is diversified into several different branches of the gaming, entertainment and media industry: online gaming, game development, online marketing, gaming technology and restaurant casinos. Cherry employs about 1400 people and has about 6700 shareholders.
