Back Fake Slots at Cstars Casino: Very Convincing Forgeries

As the black market continues to grow, we keep our eyes wide open for signs of corrupted casinos. By now, we've all learned that, to stay safe gambling online, vigilance must be maintained at all times. We're starting to sound like a broken record, repeating the same warning over and over, but the increasing number of rogue groups clearly shows that caution is necessary, perhaps more than ever.

License and Background

During the last week, we've been busy gathering evidence on the latest case of pirated slots. The operator involved is not included in the LCB casino directory, however that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye and let them wiggle out of it.

Cstars.com is a gaming site licensed in Curacao, offering slots, table games, live dealer games and sports betting. The license appears genuine, with the seal linked to the official website of the Commission. While Curacao oversees many respectable operators, they unfortunately have quite lenient requirements and loose evaluation protocols, which has made them a preferred jurisdiction of predatory iGaming organizations. Being easily obtainable, the license as such doesn't lend credence to the site's claims of honesty and the highest standards of service.

In the About Us section, it states the platform is operated by ALGIGA Providing Limited, a recently established gaming trade company, providing casino, bingo, fixed odds games, instant lotteries, skill-based games, and horse betting mainly to the European market. The company is a subsidiary of Schalter Holding, an investment firm currently focused on the supply of software services to major corporations.

Almost Fooled Us

Upon close inspection, we discovered FAKE NetEnt and Amatic games offered by Cstars. The rest of the integrated software appears genuine, and includes products developed by Microgaming, Quickspin and Rabcat.

The forged slots closely match the originals, so much so, that it is nearly impossible to spot the difference. Looking at NetEnt's Starburst and Amatic's Wild Stars, we were unable to find any tell tale sings that might indicate bogus versions, as far the launcher and interface go. They are, however, hosted on a pirated domain, the same one used by the now infamous Pamper Casino: http://static2017.skygaming.com. The original domain through which Net Entertainment hosts their products is http://casinomodule.com.

Do They Know?

Are they intentionally offering pirated software to customers? We are unable to answer this question at the moment. It is possible, but there is not enough information on the subject, which means we can only speculate, but we will refrain from making any conclusions until more evidence is available.

It's been a while since we last saw fake Net Entertainment games, with Amatic Industries even more rarely encountered. When rogue groups are concerned, anything goes, and they do not shy away from any e-Gaming provider.

If you have an account with Cstars, or consider signing up, we urge you to play elsewhere. By depositing here, you not only risk your money, but also support the illegal and damaging piracy trade. Please take a look at this list of safe, regulated casinos with good reputations and fair services, to find a decent site you can trust.

DISCLAIMER:

January 9th 2018 - Update

After inspecting this casino once again, we can confirm that Netent and Amatic pirated games have now been removed ( to the best of our knowledge ).

Warning: The below comments made by Chris_Cstars and neli90 are made from the same IP address ( their true location is Bulgaria but the flags shown next to their names show Georgia and the Italian flag which can easily be changed at member profiles ) and are shill comments trying to trick our readers into playing at their casino.
The posted comments are not only false, as it is obvious from the screenshots in the above report that they WERE hosting pirated games, but also shows their true MO as dishonest and unscrupulous behaviour designed to mislead our members by posting false statements.
