LCB attended the London Affiliate Conference and we were able to steal a few moments from iGB 'Best Non-English Affiliate Program' awards nominee, Poshfriends. Katja represents the group, which includes such casino brands as Casino-X, Joy Casino, Chinese focused LongBao and new UK mobile site, Mobby Slots. There's quite a bit planned for the year, so keep it right here to find out what's in store among other tidbits like which games their players like best and how to earn real cash bonuses free of wagering requirements. Thanks to Katja for sitting down with us.
1. To start, please give us some background on the brands.
We have four casinos. Casino-X and Joy Casino are our oldest ones. We are in the Scandinavian market and in Russia, Eastern Europe, Australia and Canada. Then, we have LongBao, which is a Chinese project only. We have a strong infrastructure with China - Chinese payment systems, native support, promotions and a focus on Chinese mentality. We have a brand new brand, Mobby Slots, which is a UK only project with a focus on mobile gaming. We don't have a lot of software providers on that one at the moment because it's very new, but it's specifically for tablets and smartphones.
2. Which casino came first?
The first one was Casino-X, it was founded in December 2012. Joycasino is its younger sister. LongBao we released in September, 2016 and MobbySlots only a few weeks ago.
3. With two brands targeted at specific markets, China and UK, what are the strongest markets for the other casinos?
For Casino-X and Joy Casino originally it was the Russian and Scandinavian markets - Sweden, Norway, Finland. We have native support and our affiliate program in available in English, Russian, Swedish and Japanese. By the way, Poshfriends was shortlisted in 2017 as the best non-English affiliate program at iGB awards.
4. How many software providers are you currently working with?
Right now we have more than 10 providers - NetEnt, Microgaming, Quickspin, Playson, Thunderkick, Evolution Gaming, NYX, Yggdrasil, Push Gaming and ELK. We have Novomatic only for Russian players at Casino-X and Joycasino and AsiaGaming at LongBao. Sure we are going to add much more to cover every player's interests. Right now we are in the middle of integration with Play’nGo and Red Tiger and then Playtech is on the roadmap after them.
5. Speaking of player interests, which seem to be the most popular games?
It's not a surprise - Starburst and other NetEnt classics. Our Scandinavian players prefer Thunderkick, ELK, Yggdrasil and Quickspin games. They are popular because Casino-X is designed in a Scandinavian style and our mascot is Thor. That's why people like the "Nordic" slots like VikingsGoWilde. Russian players do love Novomatic and NYX.
6. Can you recall the biggest win for your casino group?
We had lots of wins. Well, this was not the biggest for all time, but the biggest win with the smallest bet. The bet was only $5 and the player won 86,000 Euros from one spin on Mr. Holmes and the Stolen Stones at Casino-X in November 2016. We also have very big prize pools. For example, for the New Year's tournament players won 100,000 Euros.
7. What do you offer in terms of player rewards?
We have a Welcome Bonus package of 2,000 Euros and free spins and also exclusive affiliate promotions. We arrange lots of tournaments, comp points and an achievement system. When players unlock achievements they receive no deposit bonuses. Comp points may be exchanged for real money. When they play they earn comp points to claim real money, which has no wagering requirements.
8. A recent LCB member comment on the Casino-X review described their experience as "a casino like any other NetEnt casino". With multiple software providers at almost every casino, in your opinion, what does it take to stand out?
Unique design at all the casinos and instant withdrawals within 10-15 minutes to all payment systems. The most important thing is that we have very good retention. It's not something the players will notice from the first day, but we do everything to make players happy with their gaming experience.
What is worth to mention is Casino-X is the first casino ever with Spectator Mode tournament, this is when you have to game screens side by side, one is you playing the game, the other one is some other player playing that you are competing with within the tournament. Literally, no other casino has such functionality.
Then again we have our unique ‘Loyal to the Game’ contests working on elimination basis, where the most persistent players win Apple gadgets etc.
9. What have you got planned for 2017?
We are going to add some unique innovative features to affiliate program. It's possible because for both casinos and affiliate program we use only proprietary software. As for casinos, we are going to add new providers and launch an iOS application as we already have an Android application. We plan to enter new markets too. With our Chinese project and Japanese localization we will focus on Asia.

Of course, I already knew that about all of you, but it's nice to see LCB get such great public praise! About the interview, they said they a player win $86,000 on a $5 bet and one spin, damn........... I would have liked to have seen that one! I like their 'achievement system.' They didn't go into detail, but any system that ends in getting a no deposit bonus is OK with me. They also mentioned they had the first casino ever (Casino-X) with Spectator Mode tournament. I don't know if they are first because 3Dice also has a tournament Spectator Mode that sounds exactly like the one they describe. I'm sorry their focus for expansion isn't anywhere near the US, but those are the breaks. Again, really enjoyed the read, great interview froggy................
