Back Isle of Capri Bettendorf Moving to Land Location

There’s a new casino scheduled to open this summer. It has been officially announced that the Isle of Capri Bettendorf Casino will open its doors at 10am, on Friday, June 24th, following the completion of thorough testing. Perhaps the name of the facility rings a bell. That’s because it will be moving from its previous location on the Mississippi River to a new spot on drier territory. It will soon take the place of a former courtyard site. While its transformation may be bittersweet for some of its longtime customers, the casino’s Vice President and General Manager, Nancy Ballenger, explains that the change was necessary to adapt to modern player expectations.

It is more than just a simple change of location, however. It has already been reported that the casino will feature an increased number of gaming options, including 1,000 slot machines, and 19 table games! It is also expected to be similar in size to the riverboat facility. Other add-ons will include a new bar, restaurant, two updated hotel towers complete with 514 rooms to improve accommodations built many years ago. Customers can also look forward to other goodies. The revamp has been a $60 million investment, thus far.

Now that the casino will be moved to a land location, it will be more conveniently accessible. There are also plans to construct a pocket park to surround the property, something that could not be done on its previous water-based setup. If the park project is approved, guests will still have the opportunity to enjoy the riverfront, with multiple seating areas arranged around the facility.
