Whenever NetEnt is about to make an announcement, we get quite excited because we just know there's something amazing in store. But even we weren't prepared for this latest announcement.
On their YouTube page, the brand posted a cinematic trailer of their up and coming brand new video slot, based on the modern blockbuster and one of 2017's most successful movies: Jumanji! Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, is a broodier and darker remake of the 1995 movie with Robin Williams that is already one of the highest-grossing Hollywood movies. NetEnt has signed a distribution deal with Sony and bought the rights for creating the official video slot game for the movie. Although it wasn't officially stated anywhere that the game will be in fact based on the new remake and not the original, we believe it's pretty safe to assume that it's the former.
Have a look at the official teaser trailer below!
In addition to the trailer, NetEnt's official Twitter page posted this on January 17th: “We are thrilled to announce our next branded game! The recent movie is the #1 around the world. Keep your eyes open for its release!”
As the details on this release are still scarce, we can only speculate that we may see the first glimpse of the game – if not the end product in its entirety – at next month's ICE event in London.
Last year, the company released yet another total triumph of a game that was based on the Planet of the Apes franchise, so we have no doubt this one will also prove to be a big hit.

I don't know... I used to like the original Jumanji a lot. This game doesn't have the movie characters like Planet of Apes slot. Overall graphics and features are good enough to remind Jumanji, but not really a good catch. I don't really like the 3x4x5x4x3 frame and it is not always win slot with quite smaller line wins. This looks super fun. I absolutely loved the Jumanji movie....with Robin Williams. I had gone to the movie thinking it would be kind of boring and was absolutely glued to my seat. I have high hopes that if I am able to play the new game when it comes out....that I will be just as entertained. Thanks for the tip.

I have not been impressed with all latest NetEnt's releases, but I still have high expectations for this one. Looks promising, agreed. But every slot looks great in a promo video.

These guys waste no time, I mean the movie just got out, there are barely any clips to find online. Did they make a deal with the studio and the producers when the film was still in post-production? Maybe it's based on the original, so thats's why they were able to buy the rights, but cleverly timed the release just right...

Maybe it's based on the original, so thats's why they were able to buy the rights, but cleverly timed the release just right to coincide with the remake and all the hype. Otherwise, I think the rights to use the remake would be ridiculously expensive at this point.

I truly hope that this slot will be 100% better than the planet of the apes slot ... I hope it will be a little like jack and the beanstalk to be honest :)

NetEnt’s list of branded slot games is getting more interesting with every new branded game launched. My favourite NetEnt's branded games so far were 'Guns N’ Roses' , 'Jimi Hendrix' and 'Planet of the Apes'. When it comes to the 'Jumanji' slot animations, I truly hope it will feature superb graphics and animations as standard, as well as plenty of bonus features. I'm really looking forward to its release and can't wait to see what it will look like! Perhaps it will be my next NetEnt favourite game... ;)
