Premium supplier, Net Entertainment has announced a recent agreement with Merkur Gaming Italia, which allows the brand to enter the Italian gaming market. Furthermore, the deal will have Merkur distribute the Swedish casino game developer’s content across its thousands of gaming machines throughout Italy, in addition to machines owned by other companies.

Upon entering the Italian market, NetEnt further plans to target the largest gaming machine market throughout all of Europe, the Italian Comma 6a market.

The initial roll out, scheduled for early 2017, will include two of the brand’s most popular games: Starburst and Eggomatic.

NetEnt managing director for Malta, and chief of European market operations, Enrico Bradamante, commented “I’m very excited about working together with Gauselmann. This partnership combines our vast online gaming experience and award-winning digital games with one of the world leaders in the land-based gaming machine industry.”

“I’m delighted to announce that NetEnt games content will soon be available in our games portfolio of Italian Comma 6a machines and I’m confident that players will be amazed by the quality of these games. NetEnt is a valued partner and I’m thrilled that we are now able to offer their games to Italian consumers,” added managing director of Merkur Gaming Italia, Roberto Migliozzi.

Considered a pioneer in the online gaming industry, NetEnt has 20 years of experience under its belt, and has achieved a number of milestones throughout its existence. Its entry into the Italian market will surely open the door to further success for the brand.
