NYX Gaming Group Limited has launched its Open Gaming System (OGS) in the newly regulated Romanian market. NYX content will now reach players via PokerStars.RO.
This development further expands NYX Gaming Group’s global footprint into another regulated jurisdiction whilst cementing its strategy to expand relationships in regulated territories growing their international profile as the leader in digital gaming solutions.
PokerStars.RO, a new domain, will features some of the hottest titles from NYX’s gaming studio, NextGen Gaming, such as Foxin’ Wins, Jackpot Jester 50,000 and James Dean. The game selection will continue to grow in the region as more providers will be able to enter the market by rolling out their games via OGS.
The PokerStars brand launched in 2002 and hasn’t stopped growing having secured numerous licenses and approval through the years. The once poker only site gained an even bigger player base when it introduces casino games into the mix in 2014.
NYX Gaming Group Commercial Director David Johnson said, “It’s great to see that PokerStars.RO will launch in Romania with proven quality NextGen content. This is further evidence of the strong relationship between NYX and PokerStars.”
PokerStars owner and Director of Casino, Sam Hobcraft, commented, “We are pleased to have games from NYX on our new PokerStars.RO domain. The launch of a full license in Romania will aid our goal of assuming a leadership position in online casino across Europe.”

It is so frustrating to see all the gaming happening everywhere else and zip for the states! I can only hope that with our new President he can undo this stupid mistake. At the very least make poker legal online in every state. Poker to me takes skill and very little left to chance! At least if one wants to be successful. Here is another topic that time will tell how it ends. I am still crossing my fingers and staying hopeful. Congrats to all Romanian players, ENJOY!

Great news for Romanian players, it amazes me that any European country is only just getting around to legislating on-line gambling. PokerStars are a great brand, very trustworthy, excellent quality support and super fast withdrawals, the Romanians couldn't ask for much better.
