As silly as it may seem, I wanted to be Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz as a child. My grandmother did my hair like hers. The pigtails and the little tufts in the front had to be just perfect or I would tell her straight out “this does not look like Dorothy’s!” I can relive all my childhood memories all in one place, Jackpot Party. The Wizard of Oz slot is exclusive to this site in the online casino world. I have played the land based version in the past but never had any luck. When I found it online I was thrilled.

The minimum bet is 30p whereas it’s $1.50 in the states for the land based version. All The Wizard of Oz characters are there including Toto, the hot air balloon, Auntie Em’s house, the tornado, the Wicked Witch of the West, the ruby slippers and of course Glinda the Good Witch.

I began at 90p per spin. The big pay out is to get Jackpot symbols. The wild is The Wizard of Oz logo. There is also an Emerald City feature symbol. When three appear on the reels you choose one of the symbols. One leads to the Emerald City bonus, one to the Winged Monkey bonus and one awards an instant prize. What’s really exciting is seeing the reels continue to spin. That’s when Glinda floats down in her pink bubble and turns one or more of the reels wild.

With £50 to play with, I couldn’t hit a single bonus round. I lowered my wager down to 60p then to 30p but I couldn’t get anywhere. The Winged Monkey bonus is my favorite and I had my fingers crossed the whole time hoping to trigger it.

The slots are amazing at Jackpot Party but the wizard just wasn’t in a giving mood this time. Maybe Grandma can do my hair like Dorothy and I’ll give it another shot.
