When it comes to period pieces I am a fan. I love historic movies. I get to live in another time for a couple of hours. I’m always amazed at the way things were done in the old days especially when it comes to the Middle Ages. Knights, swords and fighting for a cause was a time I would love to be able to explore. I was able to get a glimpse with the Excalibur Sword of Fortune slot game at Caesars Casino.

Excalibur is a 25 line slot game with expanding wilds and a bonus game. I started out small at £1.25 per spin. I hadn’t played this one before so I had to be a little cautious. I hit 5 of a kind for £5. It was a low paying symbol but it was a good start. When the sword symbol appears on an active payline, lightning strikes and it expands to fill the entire reel. That is a cool feature.

The graphics aren’t the greatest but there was something about this slot I liked. I was getting a little frustrated as I was getting very tiny wins, none of which covered my bet. Then suddenly I got 2 swords, a lightning show and a winning combo of £45. I was up a little now, so I raised my bet slightly to £2.50. We’ll see where this gets me.

Not long after increasing my wager, I triggered Merlin’s Magic Bonus. I had to choose orbs and continue until I was prompted to collect. I chose orb after orb for an awesome win of £155. I took it and ran. I didn’t want to risk throwing it all away.

I began to wonder what these folks from the Middle Ages would think if they saw people of today playing a slot game based off of their era. What would they do with £150?
