Drake Casino Review

I’ve been getting into playing video poker machines at the land based casinos these days. It’s a nice change of pace and besides, the odds are better than slots. One afternoon this week I was off to Drake Casino in search of a good game.

I came across a multi-hand version of Joker Poker and played 10 hands for $5 with the $0.10 denomination. In this version the Joker is wild but the payouts were still good with 4000 coins for the royal flush. I hit a full house and a few three of a kinds but nothing very exciting.

At one point I held the Queen and Jack of Diamonds in hopes of a possible Royal but no luck. Not even a pair in all 10 hands. The same thing happened when I held the Ace and King of Spades.

I was getting a little antsy so I changed to 25 hands for $12.50 total. That was a bit steep but hopefully I could make something happen. I held two Aces and a Joker for a $45 win. As crazy as it seems I was I was holding my own even with the high wager. At least it was high for me.

I had around $200 to play with at this point so I decided to go for it and play 100 hands. It cost me $50 total to do it but I what the heck. I wasn’t doing horribly considering I should’ve only had 4 hands. I was up a little when I was dealt 4 6’s for 9415 coins or $914.50!

It was a beautiful thing to see 4 of a kind across 100 hands. That was all it took and I was gone!
