  •           Can someone help me with this please?  I was told by CS at CWC  that I could use the Pay my Card option for withdrawals but I had to make a deposit with the card in question (obviously) first and then put in the request, etc.  Okay, no big deal, right?  Except I have a fairly new checking acct. at a bank here with a VISA debit tied to it.  I'm still kind of  nervous about using a bank debit for depositing.  I should mention that I have been using Paste and Pay for about a month now and it's going pretty smooth I'd say.  I just don't want a nastygram from the bank if I try to make a deposit with the card.  Sorry guys, I know this sounds paranoid but I don't want to mess this up.  Oh yeah, I'm in the US by the way so that's why I'm a little hesitant about using the card.

Its good to be cautious and ask questions.

First off I did use Pay my card a long time ago and it worked fine for withdrawals.

In terms of using your card for deposits, CW and most RTG's disguise the descriptor to look like its some product your buying, but they are still all international descriptors.  There is a good chance that when you do deposit it may get declined for suspected fraud because of it being an international transaction.  There is a good chance that the deposit will go through fine, but then on a later transaction it may get declined. Most likely your card will end up getting blocked, it just depends if its the first time or a later time.

When your card gets blocked, or the transaction declined you will have to call the bank and let them know its an authorized charge, they may ask you what the charge is for.  Obv you will have to tell them something. You can let them know that you purchase from wherever you are purchasing often and they will allow future purchases to go.

I personally no longer feel comfortable in using any card linked to banks.  The processors can be just as rogue as the casinos.  I do not want my information out there for someone to get a hold of.
  •           Thanks BMW,  I didn't think about it like that but that is a very good point (the processor's reliability and trustworthiness).    The only reason this came up at all was because I made playthrough on a $20 free chip at CW and  had no other option apparently to w/d ('cause it was $200 and below the minimum requirement for most of the other options.)

  • Club World Casinos no longer have the option to pay withdrawals back to pre paid cards.  I always use a Walmart Moneycard, which has my name printed on it.

CW waited until the day the funds were to be put back on my card to let me know this was no longer an option.  They couldn't/wouldn't give me a date of this change.

Too bad.. I liked this group but will stick to other casinos that still have the option.

Now they are saying on PREpaid cards only?  Are regular debit/credit cards still an option for pay my card?
  • See I have no doubt that eventually that Pay My Card is going to no longer be an option.  Yet because if it truly does show up as a refund or a sorts.  Really seriously, how many places do you know of refund more than they've taken from you.
On either note, I think prepaids have to be more careful on what happens with there cards.  Mainly because most of there users are the unbanked, ones who caused lots of headaches for regular banks, and really don't do very extensive research on the person opening an account.  Therefore they have to probably scrutinize oddities a little harder than what a regular bank debit card would have to go thru.
Then again I could very well not understand totally on how these "refunds" work.  Someone at another forum said they showed up at affiliate payments, but still exactly what type of "payment" happened.

  • You must have some sort of association with banks!  Because, your post infers that people who use prepaid cards are lower or sub par than those regular card users!

Headaches for banking personnel?  Extensive research?  Banks/Bankers can't be satisfied with the piece of pie they already have; constantly grubbing for more!  Sad situation!
