  • I'am not sure if this is a joke or what. I received an e-mail that stated if I had an account which excepted Euro's they could foward my money in to it. I don't as of now. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do. sick idea

  • An account should have the capability to accept any currency. It's generally just  converted to local currency. Before you give them any information. definitely contact them. I would not go handing out any banking info until the validity is confirmed. I am interested to see how many others have received this email.

  • I never even gave it a thought that this might be phony. I won't give out any information now I read this!

    surprise

  • I'm pretty sure this is where the news item about Quicktender originated, as I can't find any other source for it.  If it came from an email, originally, I don't think we should have it up as news.  I made a comment on that page that the item sounds very phishy!

Yes I saw your comment Chilly.

I can't find anything on the internet and their website still says this "With regret, the Quicktender service has been discontinued. All account holders will be notified by email."

  • Just received this email today..6/24/2011  Help, is this real or phony?

To ensure that your QuickTender emails get to your inbox, please add support@quicktender.com
to your email Address Book or Safe List

    Dear xxxxxxxxx

We are writing to confirm the process to enable you to withdraw your remaining ‘available’ QuickTender USD balance.

As previously advised in order for customers to have their balances refunded, they will need to have a Euro currency bank account as we can no longer make any payments into a USD denominated account. We urge you to obtain a EURO denominated bank account in order to receive your funds.

From the 1st July and until the 15th August you will be able to log into the QuickTender site at www.quicktender.com and to request a withdrawal using the ‘Contact Us’ section. Before selecting contact us, you should first login as this ensures your account name and registered email is copied and also the page is now secure (if you select contact us before logging in the page, neither your account information is copied, or the page is secure via HTTPS Socket Level Security).

Once logged into your QuickTender account, you will be able to review your balance and obtain a statement of the previous transactions prior to requesting a withdrawal. There will be no way to transfer funds to previously QuickTender accepting merchants.

In this contact us section, you should select ‘Withdrawing Funds from your account’ from the drop down subject menu and in the space below, immediately provide with your EURO bank account details (clearly including any intermediatory bank details if necessary) in the following format:

Bank Account Name (this must match the family name that your QuickTender account is registered in)
    Bank Name
    Bank Address
Bank Identification Code (BIC also known as Swift Code)
Bank Account Number / International Bank Account Number (IBAN)

Please note we will not send any funds that claim to be destined for a EURO account to a 9 digit Fedwire/ABA routing number. If you obtain a EURO account from a USA based bank they will be able to provide you with the BIC/Swift Code and /or an International Bank Account Number (IBAN).

As previously mentioned, withdrawals can only be made to EURO bank accounts and will only be sent in the name of the registered QuickTender account holder. We cannot support 3rd party withdrawals.

To be clear, your withdrawal will be processed from your USD QuickTender account and QuickTender will convert it to the EURO equivalent amount based on the prevailing exchange rate.

Once we have successfully processed your withdrawal, we will advise you by email of the EURO amount and the date you should expect to receive it. Only funds sent to a EURO bank account are fully protected. We will not be held liable for any funds that are not received due to them not being sent to a EURO bank account in the name of the QuickTender account holder.

If you want your funds you need to act quickly to open a EURO denominated bank account and request a withdrawal to it prior to the 15th August 2011.

We are deeply sorry that this is the only means of ensuring you receive your QuickTender funds as part of us ceasing our service, but we want to ensure you receive them rather than the USA authorities.

How do I know this is not a Spoof email? Spoof or 'phishing' emails tend to have generic greetings such as "Dear QuickTender member". Emails from QuickTender will always address you by your first and last name.

  • Hi jaggrl  (I've removed your real name for your own protection),

You don't know if it is real or not.  I highly recommend you manually type the quiktender website address with "https://" in front of the "www", rather than just http.  Never click a link in an email if you are not sure to trust the email.

If you try to log in during the dates stipulated, you should be able to tell if the email is for real.

Best of luck with that Judi.  Do please keep us posted as to whether you receive your cash or not.

  • Well they just gave me the runaround nothing is good enough. Gave them an international account number and it wasn't good enough. I think it is just a joke. You jump through all their hoops and they still just keep your money. NOT HAPPY >:( sick

  • A bit more information I got.

Right now the Linwood Affidavit shows that the chargestream accounts in the Netherland belong to Eccocard which is apparently the parent company of UMW/QT were seized.

    So what does it mean?

American authorities have seized ALL of the US players money and at first it seems that they were only holding US accounts so that is why QT advised us to transfer money in via euro but I am guessing they now are trying to even stopping players from receiving withdraws via euros.
So obviously most of our funds are frozen until the authorizes decide to pay back.

Frustrating but another wait and see situation that we are in. sad

  • That doesn't sound good at all Nan and Judi.

As you say, it's a case of wait and see.

  • Since I live in the USA, I don't know how to get a Euro Banking Acct. I think I have lost my $395 to quicktender.  sad

You need an account in an international bank - I suggest opening an account in one of the largest banks that also has international branches.  Not sure which banks in USA do have international branches.  Do you have HSBC bank in USA?

You should then be able to request the payment in euros.

    Hi jaggrl.

I am not sure what bank you use but I suggest you to contact your bank and ask for the wire department to see if they have international accounts and if they say they do, then they will give you instruction like swift code number and all from whichever country they have.
They will transfer money as Euro at first and later convert back in USD.
The best and a better way to find out more information would be to speak to the wire department.
Hope you will get your money.
  • Hi jaggrl beleive me I feel for you I forwarded all info my personal bank gave me stateing that they could handle receiving a wire in EURO's.
I provided quicktender with my banks international bank number and swift code and all I got was won't work. Maybe someday we will all be surprised and we will get our money. But I quit counting on it.

  • There is a site that lists Swift Codes for all banks in the world where you can check the number you have been given.

Just type in Bank Swift Codes in Google and it should be top.
