- is it just me or does anybody else think that there is something amiss with the freeroll tournaments at betphoenix?
this is by no means sourgrapes...I understand gambling and accept the fact that most of the time you will not win...however....playing the many freeroll tourneys tonight I noticed that there always seemed to be one or 2 "players" that achieve exceptionally high scores for almost every tourney...example: I just finished playing the 22:00 "crystal waters" tournament...I started play about 10 minutes after the start and I checked the leader board...incredibly "RLGOMES" had posted a score of 93,150...nobody was within 60,000 points of his/her score...and this was in the first 10 minutes of the tournament.
it just seems to happen with most of the freerolls at betphoenix...
is it just me who feels this way...or is it merely coincidence?
I would appreciate some feedback.
- I think they may have won the jackpot - it was pretty high there for awhile. I myself couldn't believe that my scores jumped up from a few thousand to thirty thousand in one spin. So every once in awhile you get a good five in a row or other high paying spin. Or, someone does...
Also seeing a particular member's name-well, I see that happening sorta but I was playing a LOT of them tonight at BP and I saw names in the top ten that got very familiar after awhile. Luckily, mine was one of them in a few. But you do get to start hating and having conspiracy theories when the same one keeps beating your score, you know? I am okinman at BP and there are a couple of folks (Kathy52, tonight, for example) against whom I seem to be personally competing. You can go down the list and look at all the games and their leader boards and you will start seeing the same players on a lot of them in the top ten. Not just the freerolls... Check again when they are "completed" and you probably will see a bigger spread of winnings among players.
If they *were* going to do as you suspect, then those playing with bonus money will be winning. That way the casino can show a payout of $300 or so when in reality, they didn't pay out anything because if a player is on a bonus, even on a freeroll, they don't win that money. It has to be spent on playthrough or can only be cashed out up to, say, $25 or $50 if playthrough has been met. This is just my opinion, and now that I think about it, hmmmm....
Chilly you yourself are always one of those up at the top of the leaderboards ...I went back to look at them after I played a lot of tourneys and see okinman at the top of a lot of the lists CONGRATS!

I myself am WAY in the lead with only 3 other players $5 buy in $250 prize on Crystal Waters (I think that's the one). Hopefully my high score will discourage anyone else from playing so the prize will be MINE ALL MINE :d
- Thanks, allgood! and anyone feel free to add in to some of those higher dollar ones where there is like a $300 prize and only one winner-the more people that play, the more the prize gets distributed (and you or I could be the beneficiaries of a piece of the pie!
Saw ally and taadaa...
I have been playing on the free chip from a week or so ago from the caption contest all along, then they threw in another free chip from the review so now I probably am only winning playthrough amounts and no idea if/when I'll meet the wr. So I probably can only get a small amount if I can ever cashout, but right now any amount is a good amount if I can get it to the bank!
- Well, I have played in many freerolls and was a bit depressed seeing some players have some incrediable scores. I didn't quit and finally was rewarded with a last moment spin which took me from about 150th position to No. 1
Only wish it had been on BP freerolls, those are no cheapies!! $100-$400 and I expect to see higher ones soon. It's all a matter of timing and patience in my opinion.....
- Okay, I'm telling you and myself "I told you so". I've got about $600 in pending winnings from playing freerolls at BetPhoenix. I figured they would void them or take most of my money.
BEWARE of playing at BP with bonus or freechip funds! Not that they are doing anything wrong, but they DO let you play tourneys on your free money and they WILL take your winnings. Here is my chat log:

Kennedy: Welcome! How may I assist you?
mskinman: Hi, was wondering what wagering requirements/playthrough I am currently under
Kennedy: Can I have your account number please?
mskinman: ? mskinman is my username
Kennedy: Ok let me get you over to Casino Support...
Please wait while I transfer the chat to 'Sam'.
You are now chatting with 'Sam'
mskinman: hi, Sam, was just wondering what wagering requirements and playthrough amount needed I may be playing under right now- have had bonus added from Nick while I still had a balance....
Sam: the balance in your account derives from free chips you received
Sam: and you have been playing all the time in the slots tournaments
mskinman: not quite all the time but mostly
Sam: All Winnings will be voided if Free Chips or cashback are used on our Slot Tournaments.
mskinman: oh...I was told I would not be able to play as in it wouldn't let me play with bonus money like all the other rtgs
mskinman: but that's why I'm asking
mskinman: because it's all been unclear.
Sam: but it was still free money
Sam: free chips
Sam: even though the money showed in your real balance
mskinman: yes but all other rtgs show one balance for games, and zero if I go to tourneys so I wasn't sure. Not complaining
mskinman: just trying to figure it all out
mskinman: quesion: if I win on a freeroll after having a zero balance to start, would that void my winnings also?
mskinman: because it was a freeroll?
Sam: unless you have made a deposit within 30 days, yes
mskinman: okay, that makes sense.
Sam: winnings will be paid to depositing customers only
mskinman: I have deposited in August...would I be able to have any money from freerolls (at least I believe it was august could be wrong)
mskinman: just trying to understand
mskinman: I want to follow the rules
Sam: you deposited on 7/23/2010
mskinman: say I had, just in case I wanted to deposit today.
Sam: we would need to clear your balance before you deposit
mskinman: If I made a deposit, and won on a freeroll,
mskinman: okay, by the way what is the minimum deposit with quicktender? I think $10?
Sam: you would be eligible
mskinman: okay, if I were to deposit $10 today, or more, after asking you to zero out my account, and then began playing...
mskinman: I have some possible wins coming in tourneys that haven't ended.
mskinman: What to do about those?
mskinman: sorry I complicated things
Sam: it would not be retroactive
mskinman: I understand...
Sam: any winnings you get from the moment you make your deposit; you can definitely withdraw
mskinman: but as the funds came into my account, what would I do?
mskinman: so it wouldn't get all confused again
Sam: let's wait until you get credited any pending funds
Sam: then we zero out your account so you can deposit
mskinman: No way you can withdraw me from them now?
Sam: then, you can make your deposit and cash out any winnings you get after that
mskinman: it could be two days
Sam: I hear you
Sam: keep playing, once the funds are clear we will zero out your account
mskinman: plus those who are in spots below me could then get bumped up where they belonged
Sam: to avoid messing things up
mskinman: so no way I can withdraw from my currently played but not finished tourneys
Sam: unfortunately, no
mskinman: okay, one more question. I wait, then zero out, deposit, and lets say my account goes to zero and then I play a freeroll-I can only keep those winnings if I've deposited in the last 30 days and had no bonus/free money?
mskinman: I hope I'm understanding correctly
Sam: you understand correctly
Sam: that is how it would work
mskinman: thank you Sam, that's very helpful and I've enjoyed playing!
