betphoenix freeroll tournaments...is it just me?

is it just me or does anybody else think that there is something amiss with the freeroll tournaments at betphoenix?

this is by no means sourgrapes...I understand gambling and accept the fact that most of the time you will not win...however....playing the many freeroll tourneys tonight I noticed that there always seemed to be one or 2 "players" that achieve exceptionally high scores for almost every tourney...example: I just finished playing the 22:00 "crystal waters" tournament...I started play about 10 minutes after the start and I checked the leader board...incredibly "RLGOMES" had posted a score of 93,150...nobody was within 60,000 points of his/her score...and this was in the first 10 minutes of the tournament.

it just seems to happen with most of the freerolls at betphoenix...

is it just me who feels this way...or is it merely coincidence?

I would appreciate some feedback.

Interesting.  I hadn't noticed.  But maybe it will be your name at the top of the lists next time!

I know one thing my computer runs slower then a friend of mine and she can get more hits in then I can in the time allotted and when the machine spins for the free spins and you don't get them it takes up time

I am not complaining about my losing...because I have made a few small cashes in the freerolls but take notice in the future ...I hope I am wrong...like I said "is it just me or coincidence?"

I think they may have won the jackpot - it was pretty high there for awhile.  I myself couldn't believe that my scores jumped up from a few thousand to thirty thousand in one spin.  So every once in awhile you get a good five in a row or other high paying spin.  Or, someone does... 

Also seeing a particular member's name-well, I see that happening sorta but I was playing a LOT of them tonight at BP and I saw names in the top ten that got very familiar after awhile.  Luckily, mine was one of them in a few.  But you do get to start hating and having conspiracy theories when the same one keeps beating your score, you know?  I am okinman at BP and there are a couple of folks (Kathy52, tonight, for example) against whom I seem to be personally competing.  You can go down the list and look at all the games and their leader boards and you will start seeing the same players on a lot of them in the top ten.  Not just the freerolls...  Check again when they are "completed" and you probably will see a bigger spread of winnings among players.

If they *were* going to do as you suspect, then those playing with bonus money will be winning.  That way the casino can show a payout of $300 or so when in reality, they didn't pay out anything because if a player is on a bonus, even on a freeroll, they don't win that money.  It has to be spent on playthrough or can only be cashed out up to, say, $25 or $50 if playthrough has been met.  This is just my opinion, and now that I think about it, hmmmm....

i used to run like a rabbit for the free rt anymore i think the newness has worn off but thanks for the heads up i will keep a look out

Chilly you yourself are always one of those up at the top of the leaderboards ...I went back to look at them after I played a lot of tourneys and see okinman at the top of a lot of the lists  CONGRATS!

I myself am WAY in the lead with only 3 other players  $5 buy in $250 prize on Crystal Waters (I think that's the one).  Hopefully my high score will discourage anyone else from  playing so the prize will be MINE ALL MINE :d

Thanks, allgood!  and anyone feel free to add in to some of those higher dollar ones where  there is like a $300 prize and only one winner-the more people that play, the more the prize gets distributed (and you or I could be the beneficiaries of a piece of the pie!

I have been playing on the free chip from a week or so ago from the caption contest all along, then they threw in another free chip from the review so now I probably am only winning playthrough amounts and no idea if/when I'll meet the wr.  So I probably can only get a small amount if I can ever cashout, but right now any amount is a good amount if I can get it to the bank!

I played 31 tournaments on BP last nite and I think I got 4 bonuses in total, lol.  Out of the 31 I am in 3rd in only 1. 

Well, I have played in many freerolls and was a bit depressed seeing some players have some incrediable scores. I didn't quit and finally was rewarded with a last moment spin which took me from about 150th position to No. 1

Only wish it had been on BP freerolls, those are no cheapies!! $100-$400 and I expect to see higher ones soon. It's all a matter of timing and patience in my opinion.....

since i have been playing i never have placed good lol maybe 1 day i will be numero ono instead of numero 69 lol gl guys

I do excellent at buy in tourneys but the freerolls not good at all.  Probably because less contenders.  I did get 1st at one on Doyle's yesterday for 12.50.

Okay, I'm telling you and myself "I told you so".  I've got about $600 in pending winnings from playing freerolls at BetPhoenix.  I figured they would void them or take most of my money.
BEWARE of playing at BP with bonus or freechip funds!  Not that they are doing anything wrong, but they DO let you play tourneys on your free money and they WILL take your winnings.  Here is my chat log:

"If you DON'T deposit and play the freerolls, you cannot cash out"

Which is not much of a change from

"You have to deposit to play in the freerolls"
