  • I'm curious as to whether you ever pay for continues and rebuys on slot tourneys.  If you have paid for either, why did you pay?

If you haven't, why didn't you?

Please vote and let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks

  • I like to play the RTG tournaments where there aren't any rebuys, or continues.

If you win, you win. If you don't, you don't.

I like it better than playing the MG casino tourneys, and people would rebuy so many times, more than they would win in the prize pool. It was very frustrating.

    :-*

  • I personally do not nor have I ever paid for a tourny.....I was all excited when I saw rtg tournys and I about registered for a 5 dollar tourny then looked at the prizes and TOP PRIZE WAS A WHOPPPING 9 DOLLARS!!!!! What a return on investment if you are LUCKY enough to win 1st place tongue

  • with MG tournament, you have to buy to continue if you want to win

  • Only because that group of the same people rebuy a million times. laugh_out_loud

    :-*

  • I have rebought at a few Vegas Techs before.  Not over and over and over, well once I did that, but just the once.  Otherwise, I'll rebuy once if I really like the game I'm playing and the prizes are good.  But not anymore, only freebies for me.

  • I will "Re-buy" but only if I had a MAJOR cash win previous to the "Buy-in"

I agree with MM "Either you're lucky or not" that says it all.

  • Here is another question then:

If it was a private LCB tourney that only LCB members could enter, would you pay for a rebuy or continue?

    blue

  • yes, if I like the game
yes, if I see chance of winning  grin grin

  • ditto on what TAAA said grin

    :-*

  • I love how RTG has none continue/rebuy either you win or not, at MG the tournaments thats good often is $10-20 continues how the hell if those arent meant for high rollers i dont know and with 100-777 continue's you really gotta expect to spend tons to win, cant imagine buy continue for $200 and then still end up winning nothing.

  • Looking at the results of this poll, I'm quite surprised I have to say.

    I would pay for a continue   - 0 (0%)
I would pay for more than one continue - 1 (8.3%)
    I would pay for a rebuy - 3 (25%)
I would pay for more than one rebuy - 0 (0%)
    I would pay for both - 2 (16.7%)
    I would not pay for either - 6 (50%)

Of the 12 that made the effort to vote, half of you would not pay for either and only 2 said they would pay for both and 3 for a rebuy.

Thanks everyone who voted - it really has helped.

  • I would pay for continue(s), if it looks reasonable.

Lets take the "free" tourney as a starting point, if I come in the first round in the top 20, I might continue.

Next consider prizes: Depoit 2 as a continue to win 10 in a tournament that is in slots? Do you rmember how shocked dirkeman was when he learnd from cs, that people actually buy more continues worth more than the top prize only to win thr tourney?!

  • lol rokko been wondering about those guys at 1st place cause the amount of chips they got left and winning score is just imposibole to archive unless u get 5 scatters or something.

Its the main reason i hate the MG tournaments cause ive been in top 5 and wanted to buy continue if nessecary but when look back maybe a hour later the winnings people have just makes me forgot it.

  • Thank you for all the comments.  It's really useful.

The rebuys where they pay more for them than the prize is ludicrous - but I guess they just want to in position 1.

I have one more question - if it was an LCB private slots tourney, would you consider a rebuy, a continue, both or neither?

    blue

  • Blue i have.. i'm always at least tempted for 1 maybe 2 rebuys.. it really depends on the very first play i have with the freeroll, or first buy-in..

I've joined in some events where i stayed in LAST..

  • If it was LCB tourny and i got a decent place i would't mind buy continue cause i cant imagine anyone here goes fullout to get the 1st place.

But about re-buy i dont know really, it all comes down to other players winnings and price for it and the prize for winning, and if your thinking about making some try keep the continues/rebuy for a minimum cause if its another 100>1000 continue/rebuys i really need to have a huge score compared to most players to even consider.
