Casinos have been raking in profit for many years, yet now the gaming industries claim to be hurting. The gaming industries employ more people than the auto industries, and not just in Las Vegas.  Is a bailout for the gaming industries next?  Just where do we draw the line in handing out bailout money???

        Hi PMM,

I can't even fathom a casino having losses...maybe revenue is down from last year. Due to the economy i am sure people have tightened up their purse strings. They are not as crowded as it used to be.

As far as a bail out is concerned i don't think that will ever happen..the government would just let them belly up. Just as they have put such pressure on the cigarette and liquor taxes.

I completely agree with lipstick, they will never have losses, for 1 the games are set to make a certain % of the wagers, and 2 even in the deepest recession, there were 2 businesses that were always profitable, no.1 was show-biz., cuz people were looking for an escape from the real world for a while and no.2 is gaming, cuz everyone was looking for the fast buck.
