So, just some simple math.. Let's say we're playing on slot with payback percentage 95% (that's pretty high I guess). We have X money. After 1 time wagering we should have 95% *x = 0.95 X  After wagering our deposit twice - 0.95*0.95 X and so on. Wagering x40 = X*0.95^39  Which is..0.13527595 X  If we get 100% bonus it would be that x2 = something like 0.27 X -that what we would get after wagering our bonus if there would be no variance Pretty cruel? 

Thats exactly how these bonuses are designed to work though isn't it, extend your playtime whilst keeping the house edge the same. You feel like your getting free money when infact the wagering requirements and game weightings are all specifically designed to ensure that most people will end up with zero or thereabouts at the end of it.

You could say its cruel but hey casinos couldn't offer these bonuses if every one had a positive expectation. I'm a small player and i use the bonuses, just to play longer i don't expect win big, so i just try to enjoy a game, try different games and limits of course, if i would be a highroller i would never use those deposit bonuses, because it's hard to wager. Unless wager requirements would be logical.

Did you hit the feature? In many, many slots an enormous portion of RTP is locked away inside the feature so if you don't hit one in your session (and a good one at that) your likely to be well below RTP.

NetEnt games in particular always seem pretty brutal to me, because the feature is never any guarantee of a major boost to your bankroll, and they can be so, so hard to hit in some of there games - Gonzos Quest for example, SO many sessions I have put hundreds of spins through that thing without getting the free falls, its a nightmare.

the RTG random jackpots are a bit of an exception to the usual rules though aren't they? I'll bet that game doesn't have anything like 12,000x bet on the paytable seeing as most RTG slots are limited to 2000x bet even in the feature.
