  • what the hell is going on with casinos nowadays? again i have been robbed at what seemed a pure ripoff

deposited 500 $, and what have i got out of it? complete sod all, 7 casinos i played at and probably the tighest games i have seen happened,

not once broke into profit, barely a bonus in sight and blackjack...pfft... complete poor hands, when my bet got higher most of the time dealer would show and ace, if i clicked insure more of my money was gone cause he didnt have bj, if i dont insure he has bj,

it just gets worse and does bring to into a frenzy of wanting to break down the nearest door... all that money gone and for what? no entertainment

  • I have been thinking about it since the losses and I believe it may be time to leave the forum soon and anything gambling related.

I cant physically deal with this much more in the world of gambling.

Im just thinking how much I have been ripped off especially over the past few months. $1000's deposited with no withdrawls apart from 2 small withdrawls from free chips which 1 is still pending.

Its pathetic. I get a fair bit of cash inheritance from a family member who passed away, get some money from hard work and house clearances and wheres is gone? some into casinos in good faith that i will get a bit of fun for the evening, which is actually $100's down in under an hour.

If things in the casino industry continues to be this tight and rubbish for players then i completely hope casino managers get what they deserve, bankruptcy and end up pennyless

  • I feel your pain Sparkz and dont blame you a bit for being ticked off, thats a lot of money to lose.

  • Sparkz....

I know exactly where you're at. That's where I was when I left the forum for a bit. I took some time to bring myself back into reality and set my priorities. I was wasting too much money., and the physical pains were too much.

The time really helped me. Now I can spend 1/4 of what I was spending, and understand, and EXPECT to loose it. If I happen to win, then  'yay me!'  :)

You take care of YOU. We will miss you, but know you'll be back  ;D

  • AC...this is why I am cutting WAY back on online casinos.

Meet you at Ceasar's in AC!

  • Sparkz...
I too feel some times to times that I should just forget about whole gambling...
It costs me too much money for what it is supposed to be good enjoyment.
Every time I play I loose...lol and I always swear up and down that it was the last time I ever gambled...but I still do...I was really doing good with my gambling budget for a long time but I recently got some extra money too and I went a little wild on the money until someone(hubby) had to stop me... tongue
I am back in the routine of spending a limited amount and it's better this way then I don't get hurt too much from either I win or lose, well lose mostly...!!!
I hope you are feeling much better and know that you are not alone on this...many of are going through the same problem, we are all in the same boat...and no matter where you at, we will always thinking of you...after all, we are all in the family!!! cheesy

  • thx all, yea its become a bit too much,

there was a time when i could budet to $100 a month and actually have it last, i would have the whole months gambling entertainment, and enjoy it.

Now $100 will be lucky to last you an hour. I thought when i mentioned about certainly dodgy looking rigged hands was just with 1 or 2 casinos, but the majority i played on tonight had hands that were simply unbelieveable (iv asked them all for game logs), it was a fix and shows how its nothing more than fake incentive theft.

There could be such thing as an "unlucky losing streak" but playing 7 different casinos and have the same losing streak results with each of them certainly doesnt make me think of a coincidence (really whats the chances of 1 person having "unlucky losing streaks" that are 100000/1 on 7 different casinos in the same night)

something needs to be done so i cannot ever gamble again, maybe i'l do chargebacks on each of the casino software platforms and be banned for life on all of them? or borrow a friends credit card, deposit a small amount on each then get him to report it as stolen

  • Hey Sparkz,

    I understand your frustration indeed.

Is there no way that you can go back to budgeting rather than throwing it away in bulk.  Set up a new account and only put a certain amount in each month and use that account to fund your gambling.  The least you have, the more chance you will bet more carefully and try and cashout.

If I can get back 4x my deposit, I'm happy with that and I hit cashout.  But then I only deposit $20 or $25 max in one go.

If you do decide not to gamble at all, I wish you every success with that.  You know how hard that will be and  you will need lots of willpower thats for sure and I truly hope you will be successful.  kiss

  • One thing I always take into consideration is the play percentage the casinos set for certain games. All casinos do it and the casino reps have admitted it, but some players just poo poo it away and do not believe it. Casinos are in the business to make money period, although some have good customer service, they are not your friend. Especially when it comes to money. I do know that some games are set, groups of games are set at a higher payout lets say 98% while other are set at 92% payout. And they chg sometimes daily by the casino operators. Casinos need to keep their money in the slower winter months, then spring starts to loosen up and of course, the summer is fair game. I won 2 Randoms in July. If you are playing and feel that the casinos are tight they ARE. They are set at higher percentages. Remember the Casino Rep (no longer) that said to a player TELL ME THE GAMES YOU LIKE TO PLAY, and when you will be playing them and i will set them to a higher payout percentage. The only trouble with that is every other player does not know which ones they are. Believe it or not, if you feel your games are tight they are supposed to be. Play other games, or wait until the next day to play. Or if your brave enough contact the casino mgr tell him which games you play ask him to set them to a higher payout percentage or he will lose you as a customer. Tell us how that goes.
  • hmmm yea,

I think my whole outlook on gambling has changed over the years and i am still thinking in the past.

Lets take a while ago when i was speaking about fruit machines in the uk. There was a day when someone could buy a pint and then go on a machine with just £3 or so change. The chances are you would either win a bit or at worst lose but have 20/30 mins playtime (not bad for £3)

At that time there wouldnt be as much profit for machine vendors and pub owners. However the pub owner would be happy because someone playing the machines will be in the pub for longer thus more than likely they will buy more beer (and crisps cheesy).

Now though the machines are deliberately made tight so it takes more money and certainly that £3 change from your pint wouldnt last 30 seconds.

I was talking to a pub owner the other week who was saying he couldnt care less if someone went into his pub. Played on the fruit machines for even just 30 mins and then left without buying anything because he knows the money he will get as his cut from the fruit machines is more than 3 times what he would of got a few years ago.

Its like it with online casinos. There was a time when you could play for hours with a small deposit. Now like I have shown time and time again even $500 doesnt last long sadly. This is because the "generocity" has gone. They know theres more people playing casinos than ever... after all they know full well that they can make their games play as tight as hell because even if 1 person quits gambling another 3 will join.

I think screw being annoyed about these losses and sod putting another penny in a casino again. I will however try and milk them for every penny I can get. Weather its by claiming every free chip that becomes avaliable or by tracing up casinos that have "ripped" me off and demanding a free chip for the losses im on a mission to see how much I can get by the end of the month... muhahahaha

  • Sparkz, what Blue and Lucky says is absolutely good advice, trust that. Me living in Las Vegas i have been there. I have had the same feelings you have on many occasions. I've lost ALOT of money.. money i never should have even gambled.

2 things that work... trust your instinct when they are tight, THEY ARE and do your darnest to just get away. Everyday these casinos are here you can always come back and try it again.
This is the hardest one, set a budget and say for example "only 20 here" and thats that, kind of keep it in your mind that the 20 is to "win or lose". I have walked away from machines doing this come back later or another day and Wella.. not so tight any more, and saved myself the heartache of losing 100's in a tight machine or casino.

Theres one thing i have noticed if you are going to win it usually happens within your first 20, maybe just a bit more.. this i have tested and tried and noticed.. there has been times where yes.. lost 1,000 and hit a royal or something but rarely. Theres machines that give you that playing time and never hit just keep you even, but eventually taking it, those are fine with me at least you are getting something.

  • Ok I think casinos have said, ok now we can get them. Tighten all the way up! I just went through $140 and got ONE, yeah thats right you seen it 1 spelled one bonus round. I couldnt believe it. Needless to say I wont be depositing at GO casino anymore. I think they said it right. GO! Yeah Go somewhere else and deposit. HEH

Sorry to hear that sad but also good for you, that you move along.. tight is just TIGHT and nothing changes it!!... but listen this is what happens to me.. i put in say 20 lose it, i put in another 20 saying to myself, okay ill use this 20 to get the 20 i lost back..i lose it.. gaaah, okay here's 40 to win back the 40 i just lost, "i just want to be even"... gaaaaah.. now i have lost 80 bucks.. maybe one one time will do it... gaaaaahhhhh, i say to myself damn..if i just would of walked away at 20... before i know it i've put 300 in trying to win back my first 20!!!!! LMAO...
  • Totally right there Imagin.  Pointless chasing losses to get back the small deposit you made in the first place.

The thing with online casinos that needs to be remembered is if your bet is high, you won't hit for a longer time than if your bet was low.  Take Alaskan Fishing on MG - I hit $511 in one spin for a 30c spin.  Is it likely that I would have hit the same win had I been betting at the full whack, which would have resulted in me netting $5110?  I think it is highly unlikely that I would have.

Does anyone else have thoughts on my way of thinking?

    blue

  • I think that, but there is no way to ever know.  smiley:)

  • I always try to bet high when I can. 2.50-6.25 a spin, If I have the balance to do so. Or I bet min. bet if I have a small amount, and Im looking for playtime. When I played at Titan and blew right through my balance I was playing min. bets and I didnt hit a single bonus round. Today I was playing at WinPalace, on a free chip, and was betting 2.25 a spin, the bonus rounds kept coming and coming...anyways the moral of my story is it all depends on where you are playing, and what you are playing and if its hot or not...Thats my personal opinon! Thanks for listening to me babble grin

  • Not babble mommymachine-good insight....luck is random and it can turn either way at any time. But I am leary of playing too many free chips-I would hate to hit a jackpot on those. I prefer to use my freebies after a big win, when my odds of hitting another great big cashout are a bit smaller.

    Very smart advice!

And i agree, try a different machine, or different place.. i truely believe in luck, but some can just be tight.. and theres nothing you can do to make it work
  • blue you do make a very valid point there,

Casinos do have that thing where bet size does matter and in fact usually high bets bring nothing at all

I remember playing psychadelic sixties with a no deposit bonus. I was betting 40c a spin and hit free spins. 1 of the spins bought in 3 wilds on reels 1, 2 and 3 which of course expanded. On that spin alone I managed to get well over $100. Total wins for the free spins were over $200 (as to no suprise on this occasion as per every other the WR wasnt met for the chip and all was lost)

Had I been betting 5x that amount no way would it of given me over $1000. In fact more often than not if I was betting 60c or more on that slot I would be lucky to see a few bucks return and on a lot of occasions see nothing from the free spins.

Same with blackjack. You can win as many as 10 hands in a row betting $1 a hand. But then as soon as you bet something considerably higher on your next hand ($25 and upwards) theres probably a 95% chance you will have a crappy hand and bust or be beaten by a 21 or BJ. (as well as the proven theory that the result is already determined the second you click deal)

As for the "RNG"...pffft. Whats "random" about it working 1 way on low stakes and a completely different way when you raise the stakes?

I can almost picture it now like a funfair attraction I once went on. Imagine 100 cups in a circle. 70 are white, 22 are bronze, 7 are silver and the 1 in the center is the gold 1. You have to throw a ball into the circle and see if you can hit a prize. White cups are nothing. Bronze is small prize, silver is medium prize and the gold cup is the biggest cuddly bear you would of ever seen (oh actually on my go at it i hit the gold cup and got the big winnie the pooh, but thats another story).

That seems exactly how the RNG is but increases in bets mean theres more white cups and less of everything else.

Casinos almost trick you in that sence and try to make people think that weather you are betting 1c a bet or $200 a bet the chances are the same but it does vary on bet levels.

I do dread to think how much of my cash has been blown in my years of gamling. Last few months alone it must of been over $2000 with no returns. Have never really hit anything decent. Theres been times when iv hit something okish like mentioned above but lost all before meeting WR. The highest iv ever cashed out was $1200 ages ago but that was from about $800 worth of deposits

  • Yes i have tested that theory in free play, as well as real play, and yes so many times while betting high i hit nothing good, first lower of the bet and bam it hits, that happens alot. Alot of LCB members do say start low, and i agree with that, even while tryign to beat the playthrough keep it low and take your time, maybe raise up just a noch'e when you have accumilated.

I have played low hit a big one, raised my bet, and nothing else comes, lower my bet back down and boom! I find keeping a steady low bet usually wins more then trying to win on a raised higher one
