  • Now that Netspend is no longer a viable option for depositing in microgaming, what method do USA citizens use?  And--- how will USA citizens get withdrawals?  I shake and quiver as I cannot figure out how to play the MG games.

  • I too hope someone has the answers to these questions.

I am in the same boat as you slotsRme.

I miss my MG very much already......

  • There is Quicktender ewallet.  The casino has to set it up for you.  Quicktender costs 5% to deposit by credit card (My Netspend Card registered) and $30/transaction to send funds to a bank.

  • Just my 2 cents STAY OFF THE MAIN HIGHWAY in regards to Any DEPOSITING METHODS use PM EVERYONE can and will read posts. They are also on google when you post here.  cool

BTW on other forums it is LOCKED and they will send you an email and password to enter so you can read the post in what the topic is here. Use PM everyone.

  • It is amazing what google will pick up! I did a google search once and chat convo between me and PMM came up from the chat room that dated almost a year ago. The only chat it ever picked up.

I can't imagine what key words google picked up since basically our convo was kinda of silly nonchalant chitter chatter!

I guess we are all stars on the internet and have our 15 minutes of fame! Using caution in what we say probably is the best policy....ya never know when it can come back to haunt us!

Needless to say you have a good question and i don't see any harm with some feedback and some ideas from members.
  • Thanks to all of you for your input.  I'll probably go back to just "reading" posts (and then go to a land casino for fun)

  • Harm? I guess my point was not taken well? If members respond to this and not use PM ANYONE READING will be on Google and you have opened up the floodgates. Whatever the answer was I GUARANTEE will be STOPPED soon as it is now well known to the internet. This is EXACTLY why other forums to this EXACT question are on LOCKDOWN you will NOT be able to read the answer unless you request from the Moderator a PASSCODE sent to your e-mail and then you can go onto the forum put in your passcode and read the response. Again any response on this subject matter should be PM. cheesy

  • I have a "Newbie" question.  PM - does that mean "private message"???

Land casinos are fun too!!! I am about due myself. No worries about making any play throughs!!

    Yes it does hun!
  • Lipstick - thanks for answering my "newbie question".

  • I have taken down the posts that were copied from google. This may not be what some members are comfortable with. I don't care if it is searchable through google or not i dont think its considerate to post it here. If members want to ck it out they can google themselves to find it.

    Thanks,

  • Lucky8s...
From what I understand, someone just asked about payment options and what was really wrong or serious about that?...I am just confused why we shouldn't discus that matter in here either through posts or PM...so what if some other people see it? After all, this is what we are stand for...Gambling news and sharing information regarding any gambling.

Personally I felt a little uncomfortable when you posted my personal information in  here...that's different than some other strangers go to Google search and find out...still, they don't know me as many in here do...so it's kinda personal!!!

If that concerned  you, I wish you would  have P.Med me instead...oh well...

Thank you Lips... for taking off my personal information and I really appreciate it!!!

    Hi Lucky8s,

I agree that you should not be posting members personal information in this thread.  It is totally off topic and unnecessary and as Lips rightly said, has made some members very uncomfortable.

Please stay on topic and refrain from posting such information again.

  • Accepting Funds for Betting Banned

Section 5363 contains the basic prohibition of the new law.  It bans online gambling operators from accepting most forms of funds to be used by the players to gamble on their Websites. The ban applies to:

       "(1) credit, or the proceeds of credit, extended to or on behalf of such other person (including credit extended through the use of a credit card);
       "(2) an electronic fund transfer, or funds transmitted by or through a money transmitting business, or the proceeds of an electronic fund transfer or money transmitting service, from or on behalf of such other person;
"(3) any check, draft, or similar instrument which is drawn by or on behalf of such other person and is drawn on or payable at or through any financial institution; or
"(4) the proceeds of any other form of financial transaction, as the Secretary [of the Treasury] and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System may jointly prescribe by regulation, which involves a financial institution as a payor or financial intermediary on be half of or for the benefit of such other person."

Funds accepted under paragraphs (2), (3) and (4) must be paid by or drawn on a "financial institution." That term is defined by reference to Section 1693a of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, and "means a State or National bank, a State or Federal savings and loan association, a mutual savings bank, a State or Federal credit union, or any other person who, directly or indirectly, holds an account belonging to a consumer."  (Emphasis supplied.)

Some commentators have expressed the view that operators can avoid the application of the ban by accepting funds only through online financial intermediary e-wallets like NETeller and FirePay.  The commentators reason that those intermediaries are located offshore, are not "financial institutions" and are not subject to direct regulation by the Federal Reserve Board ("Fed") or other U.S. governmental agencies.

The commentators are wrong. exclamation!!!!!!! Section 5362(4) defines "financial transaction provider" to include any "...international ...payment network utilized to effect ... electronic fund transfer[s]..."

  • So does this leave the preloaded card option then?

    blue

  • The preloaded cards were the first to be denied and Blocked started May 30. Also ALL preloaded cards if you turn it over even the Vanilla Visas on the back of the card they have a Bank printed on it. Read the post it includes all Bank, Financial Institutions etc.
  • So if members are to post here especially US, how long do you honestly think that is going to work before that is blocked also? Why jeopardize and ruin it for other members who are still successfully able to deposit? And tell their methods of doing so? Don't you honestly think you by posting are putting them at risk?

  • Do you honestly think they need forums to find out what the methods are.........i think not.

    Lips
  • Forums ARE taking precautions and are NOT allowing members to post methods of depositing, except by PM. The casinos very much appreciate this. Also keep in mind some user names sometimes tend to be the same.!!?? My point made by be able to GOOGLE anyones username. They are NOT STUPID.

I understand what you are saying and maybe US members should not post if they are able to deposit.  But if the subject is taboo, how will anyone know how they can deposit.  If the US Govt. are watching - use "pm", who is to say that the person who pm's you is not a US Govt. official?

It's as broad as it is long and the thing is, they cannot check every single item that is paid for with a debit card or any other method come to that - they would not have the resources for a starter, it would be too costly for them to check every transaction and I have read that in some cases they have blocked legitimate transactions.

It's a delicate subject with many grey areas and the financial insitutions are the ones at risk and not the punters!

  • Anti-Online Gambling Law Goes into Effect Today, But Changes to Industry Are Unlikely

June 1, 2010 (CAP News Wire) – After months of debate and delays, the day has finally arrived: In the United States, the UIGEA (2006’s Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) officially goes into effect today.

But does that mean anything to the online gambling and Internet poker industries — which weren’t previously, and currently still technically aren’t — operating illegally? Nobody really knows for sure what’ll happen today, but plenty of people are speculating. “This speculation ranges from no major impact at all to a complete lockdown of US accounts,” FlopTurnRiver.com explains.

Most industry figures are confident that the regulations won’t amount to problems for the industry. John Pappas, the executive director of Poker Players Alliance, has called the UIGEA "a bump in the road”, and predicted that "’new payment methods will emerge’ before the game itself is completely legalized,” according to DailyFinance.com.

"I don't think it's going to be the end of Internet poker as we know it," Pappas was quoted in California’s Press Enterprise.

Technically, that’s absolutely true. The UIGEA only imposes penalties for financial organizations that process payments for the online gambling industry; it doesn’t label the act of online gambling or playing poker on the Internet as illegal.

But it’s understandable that a lot of players — and even online gaming affiliate marketers — don’t really understand this. It’s assumed that the UIGEA has made the entire act of gambling online illegal.

That isn’t helped by the fact that many international online gaming brands refuse to do business in the United States for fear of being ensnared in the UIGEA’s legal tentacles, even though it’s unlikely.

Some have even speculated that, since the UIGEA doesn’t really make online gambling illegal, it’s simply a political ploy designed to drive foreign online gambling brands out while lawmakers craft new laws that would deliver the multi-billion dollar online gambling business directly into the hands of American companies. (Not so far-fetched, really, when you consider that California’s new online gambling regulatory proposal specifically states that only California companies will be able to enter this lucrative market.)

So, now more that even, it’s important to stay on top of what happens in the online gambling legal world. What are lawmakers like Barney Frank and Jim McDermott really proposing with their pro-online gambling bills? Would changes to the online gambling laws drive out the international online gambling brands upon which many online casino affiliates rely for their business? Or would it make the iGaming business better by creating stronger brands with stronger ties to players on a regional level?

All that is debatable, and it should be debated, as we continue to watch lawmakers try to fix or repeal the UIGEA.

But in the meantime, don’t forget: Online gambling — and online gambling affiliate marketing — is still legal in the United States.

  • Hi Members,

I think it is very true that its not the player who is doing anything illegal here. It is the banks that allow the transactions.

The thing i am not understanding here is the need to PM deposit and withdraw options. It is not a secret what deposit methods are being used. All any US gov official has to do is click on a casino and view the deposit options. They are not going to waste their time on forums or players.........the law clearly states it is the banks who are committing illegal actions by allowing transactions to be processed.

Players are not committing anything illegal.........its the BANKS!

    IV. Probable Cause
    Introduction
The information set forth below is based upon your
affiant's review of records and upon information provided by
other sworn law enforcement officers participating in this
investigation. Your affiant has not included each and every
fact obtained pursuant to this investigation. Your affiant has
set forth those facts that he believes are essential to
establish the necessary foundation for the lssuance of the
seizure warrant for the specified account.
    Background
Your affiant conducted, a number of Internet searches and (they did what internet searches)

This is a recent case, and yes the investigators did do internet searches. Believe what you want. I was attempting to help.  I don't understand how something so simple can be argued? Especially when it is assisting members.  So I do not know why they bothered to file this case?

  • But I don't believe we are considered money launderers(Is that even a word? laugh_out_loud)...I don't know if I really understand what you are trying to say here huh You think they are doing searches on forums for ways on depositing? I personally think they already know. It is not Illegal to gamble in the USA it is only illegal for financial institution to process transactions to or from online gaming sites..At least that is what I thought huh

  • What is the forum...?
According to Wikipedia, An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site.
People participating in an Internet forum may cultivate social bonds and interest groups for a topic made from the discussions.

Online gaming forum is a discussion forum for the online gambling community...

What makes LCB forum so unique and special?...
There are many reasons for me to say but if I have to choose one then it will be the reason of us, who made this forum as a family...Yes we are a family and we share so much together even it's good or bad. That's what a family for...These are my family members and I will share everything that I know of especially when it comes to the news to gambling...
I put the foods on the platter but do I really, necessarily have to tell every single my family member to eat this and that? It's your choice to either eat or not.
As someone stated that if it is not a right choice, why post it in here so someone can see it and make things get worse...hmmm let me think about that.
So if someone posted a n/d code and that particular code won't work for everyone...are we suppose to tell that person to stop and not to post any more codes in the future? Don't think not!!! The whole point is that we, as a family, not suppose to judge or criticize each other but appreciate but there are times we could give each other some advices when we don't agree...that's what we call it as a discussion.
If it were not for the forum, how are we suppose to get any information regarding anything? So what if someone sees my post about anything I write, I ain't gonna either stop or tell them not to follow what I say. It's your decision especially when you are an adult. You can see, read, hear things but it  always comes down to  your own choice to take...I won't talk about  freedom of speech...

I have been to many other forums and let me tell you something. This is the only forum which I ever felt it was my home and what's more, this is the first and last forum it's  Admins. who always stand up and fight  for the members not like other forums who's admins are banning and warning the members who don't agree with their sponsors(casinos)...

Do not hesitate to post any questions about anything and everything...and please Do share!!!

  • Well I bought 2 prepaid Visa gift cards today, a $50 and a $25, and they both worked fine at Bet Phoenix and Caribbean gold and Treasure mile.  Didn't win anything laugh_out_loud but the point of the post is what works and what doesn't.  The type I bought is what comes in the blue or green/silver package with a gift box on the front.  $25 is blue, $50 is green.  I always use these and have never had a problem.  I haven't attempted to use any of my debit cards.

  • I just talked to live chat at Villento and they told me that Visa netspend and many other gift cards still work to deposit. I said I didnt believe it. But he said lots of people were depositing right then.
    So???
  • I emailed a casino I play at and they confirmed that Netspend is no longer accepting depositing to casinos.  They suggested I use something else, but with all the past posts in this forum, I am scared to mention what they told me to use.  If anyone wants to know what they suggested, please pm me.

  •     could it be blood?

Very correct, someone should create a invite only area for these types of things. As Visa and Mastercard do read these post. Posting in the open will only get credit card processors burned. I know it's tough but there are ways around it. If you would like to learn more drop me an email.

Im afraid I dont agree with you.

Like Lips said , each casino have page with the available deposit/withdrawal methods. These methods are also  available at cashier once you download the software. Its already out there in the open. I dont see how posting at forums can affect processors.

This is an open forum and everyone is free to share their informations and findings.

Also to create an invite only areas for these types of things as you suggested, wont do a thing. Theres always a way for the informations to get in the open. Even if you use only the private messages, everyone is free to open the acct at LCB and send a PM and get the information.

To think that posting at forums will hurt processors is bit naive in my opinion.

    P.S.

I m going to ask all members not to send any PMs to Barry until we verify he is working for this casino.

    cheers

    Zuga
  • My personal opinion is if YOU can get the information on what deposit method works and which ones don't so can EVERYONE else, including card companies.

It would make no sense to use Private messaging when ANYONE can sign up to recieve and send them.

Those that are worried that certain people are reading these posts, it is also safe to assume they have signed up for an account and are able to get the same information you and I can get through PMs.

I just don't think they are waiting for US to post what is available in means of depositing, I am sure they already know.

    Just my 8 cents.

  • Why can't members just go to chat in the casinos.
  • Again, the people "searching" for this information could easily go to any live chat and ask what the deposit methods are now. It's not a big secret that some people seem to think it is.

    :-*

  • There is no way anyone enforcing the UIGEA here is so stupid as to not know everything we have found out, and they didn't find out from us.

If they can sell drugs to people and then bust them for buying, or vice-versa, Lord knows they can sign up for a casino account and cashout (damn them stealing my BINGO!) to see what the checks or transactions appear as.

C'mon...we've got robots (drones) patrolling our borders, and can rescue hostages on the other side of the world.  The USA law enforcement officers are not all from Cartersville or Hazard County.

  • I'm not understanding any of this really. Googling and personal information being posted?? Ok I see luckys point but I believe if in fact posting here can be googled then our government or anyone else for that matter can and most likely will find out how we make deposits. Why they banned those of us that live in a state where gambling is legal escapes me though

  • Mommy you and I belong to another forum where the Mods have asked you to please respect their wishes and not post to abbreviate actually your dep methods and you even apologized and complied? As not to make it known to the public! So I do not really understand your posts here? Also keep in mind when you go into the casinos those methods of deps are for everyone international etc. Just because they are listed does not mean it is going to work for you in the US. So it is wise to always go to chat if your are having problems with deps. Ask them they know. grin

  • lucky8s...

I was really trying hard to understand and respect you from the beginning of the posts you made in this thread but now I am not so sure if I can.
Everyone's entitled to voice their opinions since this is open forum which means the door is always open for everyone. Free to speak but voicing oneself opinion is totally different than getting personal and attack if one doesn't agree with you. I even posted that I felt uncomfortable when you posted mine and others personal information from Google but I didn't see any post about your apology.  Do you understand that the world does not always revolve around you and not everyone can share/agree your thoughts or beliefs? Seems like you say whatever it takes to show your points of view even if you might hurt someones feeling so long as you can be satisfied with yourself.
You kept bringing up other forum's this and that and what's more constantly comparing to our forum was one thing but pointing at someone directly and telling us something which should have just stayed there is just little too much. What happened at Vegas should just stayed at there once you left!!!

I have never, ever if I remember correctly, once talk or attack anyone in here but try my best to always understand and respect others opinions and I can't not believe that I am saying things in this way.. but I couldn't just stand back and seeing one member attacking another...
Why can't we just stay on the topic and move on?
