Poll - Have you been affected by the legistration in your decsion to gamble online?

  • Affected

  • NOT Affected
    33.33% (4)

  • This was copied from a UIGEA report...

"Based on reports from members at a popular online casino forum, the effect of the legislation has been mixed. Some players have watched the deadline approach and have stopped gambling online based on the heightened uncertainty of the industry. Others, however have had the law come into effect without them even realizing or impacting their online behaviors."

I'm curious to know how many members have felt or been affected by the legistration or the heightened uncertainty of the industry...

  • Not to be picky, but I have been only slightly "Affected" by the UIGEA's actions as in my state, I cannot get to an MG online. BUt frankly, other then that, it has caused little problems.

  • LMAO Thank You genenco for the sutle spelling hint... i don't know why but i do tht alot with those 2 words.. Effected and Affected..

  • Nice poll - but I won't vote as Im not USA and it would throw the results.

  • Fell sorry for you guys in usa to gotta go through all these "loop" holes to be able to play cause of all this, totally legal in denmark and using visa is no problem anywhere.

  • Two things I do miss as a result of the US ban is the freeroll tourneys from Microgaming and the "Live" games, like the ones at Ladbrokes and Canbet.

  • So far the poll is running 50/50.. you know this is what i'm guessing the outcome would be and stay standing, what happened on june 1st i personally seen no changes its the same since what it was years ago..other then MG merging to USA OK programming.. i really don't understand why that happened when only existing US are accepted, still no new US players can play, i myself won't sign up new or play unless i get full benefits (i'm just leary) i do have old accounts.... we need more to cast votes

  • The only way that it has affected me are the free tourneys. Also if I can't play all the games....why bother to deposit.I hate the fact they tell us what we can do with our own money.

  • Hmmm...well, I 'feel' sorry for us US players as MG & Platech aren't available, but then with so many of them becoming rogue...
I miss the games (tho' I can play for free & have existing accounts) but I don't miss the 5700 payout that a rogue MG never payed. But rogues abound.
Otherwise it's just the depo options I miss. There used to be truly secure ways to depo & now we're stuck with sites that routinely abuse us.
I here our alleged leaders are trying to repeal all this. Reckon they must be regular players. lol.

  • Hope Im not steppin on any toes... If you depo and win a nice jackpot can some Casinos use the UIGEA's legistlation as an excuse not to pay?
    USA player
    Affected.

  • Well, i have seen this quote from a live chat script.. "you are in the USA it is illegal for you to gamble online anyway" this was being told to someone that was upset about not getting paid, or that it was taking so long.. this chat transcript is somewhere here on LCB

  • Personally I haven't been affected because I rarely deposit anymore, most of my play comes from free chips..It's not like it used to be for me...The thrill is gone I guess you could say.

I have heard some saying that it is more difficult to deposit, however when I deposited my $15 the other day, I had no problem laugh_out_loud...

I also have heard people are having a hard time withdrawing...I don't know anything about that....

I hope they just legalize it already and get off our backs. It's my money, and if I feel like spinning a slot while sitting at my computer completely naked in my own house, that is my choice wink

    :-*

  • Thanks  MommyMachine and Imagin.ation, I want to depo and play with RTG's  but just a little worried. I have recently played at VEGASTECH, but I keep thinking the UIGEA will mess me up with Pay-out or Maybe there's nothing to worry about after all.
    thanks,
    signman48

  • So kind of people outside of the USA to feel our pain, you are lucky to have the freedom, just passing some words of appreciation.

    Thank You
