  • Hiya LCB'ers,

I was just thinking back to my humble beginnings and when i first starting playing online. I remember my very first deposit was at Full Tilt Poker I was so nervous about making a deposit. It was about a year before the ban went into effect.

My favorite casinos back then were (don't laugh) i loved Cool Cat, SOV, Wild Vegas and Cirrus Casino. I would come here and get alllllllllllllllll the free chips and was like a kid in a candy store.

But for more serious gambling i deposited at InterCasino and the Gaming Club. My first big win was at Gaming Club and i cashed out over 2K.  The money was in my account in 24 hours and NO docs required!!! Those were the days.

My processor was Fire Pay. I remember going to play some poker one day and saw that Fire Pay was gone!!! The ban had taken effect and i was devastated. I have come a long way since those days.

Where was your very first deposit and processor?

  • I think it was Cyberbingo and I used my debit card.  Often.  Made a couple of good wins at Bingo, then found the slots and it was almost all slots after that.
Then I went to more bingo sites, and finally got around to casinos, using free chips.  I deposited at Cirrus with my debit card.  Once.  I had no clue about playthroughs, max cashouts, etc..., until I came here and started smartening up.

  • Lol, my first deposit was with one of the casino in the virtual group, I can't remember which one, I didn't even know there was LCB at that time and while I tried to search for free chips from these casinos, I found LCB  tongue , I was freak out  b/c I didn't get paid over a month, and that was Cool cat, lol.  I sent LCBAdmin a pm seeking for help, then received my winning couple days later  thumbs_up , thanks LCBAdmin.

  • Back in 2005 I began playing at an online casino called Lasseters.  I loved that place.  No bonuses just deposit and play.  I also ran everything thru firepay.  Then the ban for USA players started and I wasnt alloiwed to play there anymore.  It wasnt until about a year ago I found out there were still online casinos I could play at.  An online poker friend told me his wife played online all the time.  I searched and found LCB that day and the rest is history.

  • Wow Lips, that takes me back to those "Good ol'days" when you didn't have the ban.  LOL

I could easily deposit from my bank or with "Firepay" (Do they still exist?) and played RiverBelle and Captain Cook and A couple of others and I was cashing out monthly from Riverbelle. money money money

Twice in one week I hit the RF 4 hand play at RiverBelle and with in 2 weeks, had the $2000 check in my hand! (I later cashed out another $2000 a week afterward) money money money money

I did learn though to only "Click the button ONCE" as I was depositing with Firepay and suddenly I had $600 and was only trying to deposit $200. Luckily they sent back the $400,  It only took a week, but lesson learned!  woo woo

Now, it's such a hassle that I will only play here and there and instead, save my money for the casinos which are a bit of a drive. Guess that's why they (The land based casinos) were thrilled with the ban.

Oh and I am VERY careful to read the T&C's of the casinos as it's been shown that some have some nasty unfair terms. Those NEVER get my play.

  • Fire Pay is long gone. But what i am trying to remember is, why did we need the middleman before the ban?

    Does anyone remember why?

  • There are some who don't like the word "casino" appearing on their bank statement. (Particularly if you don't want a third party to know about it--whoever wouldn't approve of the gambling.) you could just say it was the "Middleman" charge and make up an excuse.

  • mine was at coral or william hill.

Sheerluck holmes slots was a classic.

Those were the ultimate days where you could even print off your winning reciept and cash it in at your local william hill/coral.

If you cashed out to your bank the withdraws were never reversible and you could guarantee to see the funds in your bank with 48 hours

Many major credit cards were getting hit with massive CB's and so they started not allowing the using of cards for cash deposits. Then the banks followed but not too quickly and then the Govt decided to step in.

Of course, it's still quite easy to send money overseas just simply using checks or bearer bonds or jewelry and smuggling it. But that's another story. laugh_out_loud
