With earnings estimated at over 100 million Rubles. 36 casino were closed in Moscow. The Interior Ministry's Main Economic Security Department seized some 500 gaming machines including gaming tables from the properties.

The police uncovered multiple locations where gambling clubs operated under cover as betting houses, restaurants and Internet cafes. Apartments were also used to host illegal poker games.

Investigators will be determining what to do with the seized materials.

Would you gamble in an establishment that wasn't legal? It would make me nervous not so much because it's illegal but what's to stop them from cheating me. Slots set in their favor and cheating dealers. Seems like a no brainer.

and that's just one ring of them. Who knows how many exist. They'll be back at it even after serving jail time, if sentenced. Maybe the illegal casino biz is all they know how to do.

yep, and on another note, it is about demand too, if there is demand for them, then i also think regardless of the fact they might be highly rigged people will still want them, if thats the only thing they have in form of gambling if they dont have computers, but some dont like gambling online, some prefer the real thing

I certainly wouldn't go in to a dodgy place like that.  I wouldn't trust their slot machines.

I would avoid such places since I couldn't really trust them. I mean, I get easily suspicious if I start losing even if a place is legal so, so those illegal would make me feel even worse.

Its pretty much no brainer for me as well. Not only that I wouldnt trust their machines, if I eventually won there its highly likely I wouldnt be payed my winnings as well.

Theres plenty of legal places to play, absolutely no reason to take any risks with illegal ones.

Now on the other hand, what if there were no other places to gamble? No online gambling or legal casinos in your area, would you play there then? If I'm honest, I would check it out. I can't say I'd spend a lot of money there but I would take a look around.
