  • When I go to the land based casino I am always sure to use my players card. It is free to sign up and sometimes you'll even get free money upon joining. Plese dont be one of those people that think using the card changes the outcome of the game. There is no connection between the card reader and the slot machine. It is a costly misconception.  I get comp dollars for every machine I play and I am able to use them for the buffet, coffee shop, gift shops, and even stayed once for free in one of the Casino "Suites!" (wow that was nice.) For every $100 I spend I get 75% back for slot play, and that is only platnium level. Diamond level gives you 100% back. There is  free slot play money given to me on a monthly basis, and if you go at certain times during the month, they triple the amount. ($30 turns into $90 at midnight till 8am)
Dont assume you don't spend enough to earn points, you'de be surprised how quickly they add up.
Your players card can be a valuble friend in any land casino. Don't forget to use yours.                                                      All in fun...PMM2008 smiley

  • Nice post and good to know...although I do not frequent the casino here enough to make a difference I am afraid. I might go once every 3-4 months as I do not have a regular babysitter and my oldest is not yet old enough to babysit. But...I was always under the impression that they track your play with the card so that they can get a read on your betting habits....is that true? Inquiring minds want to know as I am not really comfortable with someone tracking my play and betting habits.

  • 75% back wow! My casino card gives me about 1% back sad

  • Trpschick, in response to your question about if they track betting habits, I must say I do not know at this time. I am looking into it and will get back to you. I will say that they must keep track of your betting habits as far as to know what comps to offer you.
I recieve custom comps that they know I will use due to what my card tells them.  They see I eat at the buffet with my card, so therefore I recieve coupons for the buffet every month.  They see thru my card I play slots, therefore they give me free slot play money instead of table money. As far as using that information for any other reason than what to offer you in comps I am afriad I am still looking for that affirmative answer.  I'll be in touch.  Thanks for the question. It will keep me busy finding the answer.          PMM2008

  • I have spoken of the importance of using your players card alot. I get free dinners, hotel rooms, clothing, and even show tickets for free. However I know there are bigger rollers out there than myself. Who out there has gotten:
    1) Air Fare?
    2)Vacations?
    3)Premium Champange
    4)Limo Service
    5)Penthouse suites?
                Anybody??

  • Hi PMM,

I have been lucky enough to ride on my mothers skirt tails when it comes to the elite cards. She had Seven Star Status at Harrahs Casinos. Harrahs owns many casinos..Horseshoe, Rio, Ballys, Paris and the list goes on.

With her card she is allowed to have a "companion card" this allows the companion the same frills and receives a 7 Stars card too. It is really really nice. We can virtually stay at any Harrahs owned properties in the US comp'd as well as the flight.

When i went to Vegas..if there was a long line for restaurants, shuttles, or tickets to shows...we were priority.

In regards to the restaurants..7 Star members have a special appetizer or desert that the chef makes special exclusively for them.

The frills are endless and i could go on and on...but ya know what? If you are a 7 Stars status...you really earned it. You have bought all those flights and fancy chef meals etc. You have bought them with every dollar that was put into that machine.

  • I received 3 months stay w- $300/day for food at casino's hotel - $500 Outlet Mall Certificate - $500 Jewelry Store Certificate - Given a watch for my birthday - $250 monthly bonus for a year - Limousine to home to pick up friend's and come back - and it's true - all from always using my players card - oh, winning helps also.
