  • Hi all,

    I just had this idea,

I noticed that I don't think this has been done before, but i thought it would be very useful if we all had an input and made a BIG list of online Slots to avoid because of the following reasons.

Reason 1: badly made (looks like a kid made them)

Reason 2: bonus features that pay £0.00 or below the actual Min bet staked or 5 X bet - also doesn't pay a set Min X bet for the trigger symbols either.

Reason 3: free spins features that have dead spin after dead spin - but related to slots that the pay-lines are basically very low, so when you do hit something it is like 1p or 2p wins or in cents for USA players.

Reason 4: line pays that basically are so bad that you never get a win of 10X bet (example 5 of a kind kings that pays £0.25p) - just an example so people can understand what I mean smiley

Reason 5: Slots that have bugs and glitches and spin slow or spin too fast and reels sticking.

Reason 6: just overall badness that you wonder why casinos actually pay for a licence to host those bad slots in the first place tongue

I will start the list with a slot hosted on paddy power casino, in the games section, the slot is Cinderella's palace - the reason is, it has 2 features a free spin feature and a feature where you get 3 spins and the pumpkin cart moves to reveal your final prize - but to trigger that feature you actually need to get 3 bonus symbols anywhere in the middle 3 reels, so reel 2 - 3 - 4,  but if you get the 2 bonus feature symbols in the 3rd and 4th reel, the last reel 5th reel still does that slow speed spin (that thing that happens to build the tension - so in other words, it slow spins the 5th reel for absolutely no reason at all) - another thing wrong with this slot is also the reels glitch and spin strangely and just spin weird and just looks badly made.

So i hope you all agree with me about this great idea for a new thread - lets get a huge huge list so it helps players not play these ridiculous slots haha

    Thanks all

  • I think Igrosoft's Crazy Monkey which can be found at Twist Casino has one of the worst graphics I have seen so far, also game menu is on Russian which makes this game a real pain to play. If not for those, it would have been a decent slot.

Now, regarding reasons 2, 3 and 4 you have mention DreamRJ, not sure if I would label any slot bad because I repeatedly won low/nothing on features or in a base game, simply because whats not working for me might work for someone else. Example: worst paying slot for me in my gambling career is Immortal Romance, but at the same time CBG recently posted a winning screenshot with feature win of more than 1500 euros. Also, people reported on several occasions feature wins of less than $1 from 100 free spins on Rival slots like Gushers Gold and similar slots on which I was winning very nice sums in the past

  • One of the slots that came to mind when I read your thread was Agent Jane Blonde on Microgaming. I have never won on that slot.  Even in a free tournament, it doesn't pay hardly anything.

I wouldn't say it's badly made and as for reasons 2 and 3 in your list, I can't comment because I didn't get either free spins or a bonus round (I don't think there is a bonus round on this slot).  Reason 4 definitely applies to this slot.  I know of no bugs or glitches.

I just suggest to stay away however, I am open to hearing about big wins on this slot...if there are any.

  • One of my least fav slots is Phantom of the Opera. Crazy enough though, the first time I ever played it I won a nice chunk of change. Just don't care for the graphic design and the way it looks like it's behind a pulled back curtain.

  • I also don't think that we can characterize slots as bad or good.

I remember a first few times I played Count Spectacular, it was my favorite slot, but now that's the slot I avoid at all costs. smiley

I agree with Blue about Agent Jane Blonde slot; I had a good result only once, but I still didn't win anything (it was a free tourney). That slot is garbage if you ask me. smiley

There are many slots I think are badly made like Tiger Moon or T-Rex. I think that NetEnt slots have the least bugs and glitches, or I don't notice them.

  • The Reasons a few people have stated didnt mean about losing, i meant the slots that never win big because of the tiny paytable line wins, when u see the paytable and the wins are just soo tiny.

Thanks all for your slots smiley

    keep them coming

  • Well if we are going to talk about not winning, RTG's Goldbeared is one of the champions of empty spins for me. I played countless number of freerolls featuring that slot and never won more than 2000 credits. When you look at the paytable, it seems it has above average potential for an RTG game with 3x wild multiplier and stacked wilds and 9000 coins max pay  but the amount of dead spins you can encounter is just unbelievable.

I also noticed that tournament results featuring this slot are below average. Its a game i would never play with my money.

  • It would be really interesting to see some official data and statistics...
Like this, it is really hard to make a conclusion, but I also have the no-go list, but I think that it must be subjective, no way that they just simply make bad slots intentionally smiley

  • Agree on it completely Lootva. Any discussion regarding payout is totally subjective. After all, there are no slots that have return to player less than 92+ percent that I know of. There are speculations that RTG casinos can influence RTP, even if that be true there is no way to tell for sure if any casino is doing such a thing.

  • Actually, I'm pretty certain RTG can change the RTP - I think there's a margin of around 2 per cent they can fiddle with.
MG on the other hand, is set

  • Ok another Slot too add to this list

    She’s a Rich Girl - (IGT)

Seriously this slot is just crazy bad to be honest with you, yes it has 5 wilds that can pay £100 betting £0.09p per spin - but totally impossible to win big on this slot - the most i won is about 80X bet and that was a few weeks ago, i played this a lot of times on various different days and times numerous occasions, the most i win in the free spins bonus average is £2 - its bad - its pointless seriously - why do these company's make such bad low paying slots, i feel this slot was just made to be a money pit and never actually be able to pay big what so ever - Furthermore there is also 2 picture symbols a man and a woman and i have never even had the 5 of them yet for 5 of a kind, and those 2 symbols pay the same amount - £10 for 5 of a kind with a wild or £5 without wild, and i never ever had them once - i mean how can a slot be this bad if those are the only way to win something decent on it and it never gives them, and i have played this slot for hours at a time trust me don't play this slot sad

  • I don't understand this thread. I really don't. Just because someone doesn't hit something personally, doesn't equate to the slot being a bad one.

One of the most popular slots out there is Thunderstruck II. I have never gotten 5 scatters. I've played untold times. I've had bonuses that have paid 0. Is it a bad slot? No, I just haven't been lucky on it.

Playboy. I've done terribly on the second bonus, the full screen of wilds is near impossible to hit. Yet I've seen a player hit it TWICE in one week.

If someone next posts they hit huge on She's a Rich girl, is it now a good slot? Or should people avoid it because another did poorly.

None of this even factors in variance. Some slots pay absolute squat, because the win potential, while extremely rare is huge.
Low variance slots hit much more often but much smaller wins over-all, with a lower win potential.
Which do we avoid? Well, some people LIKE high variance slots (like me), some like low variance slots. Someone will always despise one and call it crap. Someone else will extol its virtues.

The thread is titled 'List of slots to avoid', but personally, I think 'list of slots I don't like' is more appropriate, as the title is subjective and misleading.

  • I don't understand this thread. I really don't. Just because someone doesn't hit something personally, doesn't equate to the slot being a bad one.

Dionysus, there is nothing to not understand about this thread - it is what it is meant to be nothing more nothing less - why do a lot of threads i make always get read in a way that you think i have some sort of ulterior motive when i don't - and i should not even need to say this to be honest.

how about you try the slot i mentioned, u try it in fun play and when u had the bonus about 20 times and u see a pattern, then come and reaffirm what u said - maybe i could have explained my original message in a better way but i couldn't think of any better way at the time i posted the original post in this thread.

Ok another example, a slot called Alien Autopsy at paddy power casino, dunno what software it is, but it has nice line pays and so on, and the line pays hit often - but the bonus round is a joke, u basically get 3 picks and it is 0.25p per spin, so 25 lines, and when u get the bonus, u get like average each pick is like from £0.05p to 0.55p, so how can u win big in that bonus from 3 picks
u cant, it is a pointless bonus, now does this explain a bit better my intention now for this thread - i hope it does

EDIT: Also, forgot to add, this is not about losing on slots or the big name slots, or any slot - it is about the slots that was just blatantly made from when the slot was in concept phase to completion and they decided these bad slots in question was fair enough for release - big company's too.

Example IGT is known for making good slots and known for making slots with low payline wins sometimes - in land based casinos too - not just online - but they made Pharaohs fortune - which is actually a very high paying slot, my biggest win on that is close to 620X bet from £0.10p which was like £63 ish - so it just makes me wonder sometimes why these company's release slots that don't have the same potential and that are on the other end of the spectrum.

That was just another example smiley

  • well, for starters, I never even mentioned boo about ulterior motives, so that's straight from your head.
what I don't understand about the thread, I made pretty clear. Essentially, you're listing slots to avoid based on YOUR return.  Some slots pay low returns. So what? That's what low variance slots DO - it's rather the point; small wins, long play-time, no large hits available. That doesn't make it a lousy slot. Some people want entertainment value over big returns. If you want BIG returns, you need to play high variance slots. Some people love these. However, they can reward one player HUGELY and the other, because it's high variance, eats their entire bankroll, never seeing a bonus or much of any return. This doesn't make these lousy slots either.

As to seeing patterns, well, I don't see how there really is. Slots are random. What you can see, is the variance, and get a general idea of how it pays. And really, for a true representation, you'd need around 1 million spins and track the rtp.

Are there boring slots? Sure (subjectively). Poor graphics, yup, even low paying bonuses.
This doesn't mean people should avoid them. You, sure, if you don't like it, don't play. Which is why I said the thread is more 'slots I don't like' vs 'avoid these slots'. Slots to avoid, to me, are known softwares with rigged games (not any of the major players), or  avoid based on 'x' criteria ie if you want long play sessions on a low bankroll, avoid high variance slots, such as 'x', if you have a large bankroll, are a big better and want potentially huge returns, avoid low variance slots like 'y'.

The idea of sharing what slots you find dull, have low returns, are graphically awful, great. But for anyone new walking in, I wouldn't flag 'hey, avoid these slots'.....your criteria is mostly subjective.

  • Ok fair enough, good points i see your point of view, it wasn't about just my view on them though - and maybe the title was a bit wrong ok,

but i still think my initial idea of this type of thread is a helpful thing for people, maybe not *avoid* but maybe if the title was edited to remove the avoid bit to maybe List Of Slots That Are Questionable?

maybe this will suit it better? smiley

EDIT: Note to mods if you will be happy to change the title name i would appreciate it - maybe make a title you think suits this thread better than the word *avoid* maybe similar to the title i said above in this post smiley thanks

  • I think (and hey, it's only MY opinion, it has no more substantive value than anyone else's), a thread sharing what slots you dislike and why, is fantastic. Everyone learns by sharing.
There's just a difference between, say, 'Dead or Alive (NetEnt) sucks, it pays crap in the base game and the bonus paid 5X...AVOID THIS SLOT, it DOES NOT PAY''...
Dead or Alive DOES pay crap in the base game, you could chase it forever, and NEVER once see a good return, over hundreds of deposits.......but, the win potential in the bonus round is HUGE ...3, 4, 5000 X your bet

....vs Dead or Alive is INCREDIBLY high variance. The game sucks donkey biscuits, and frankly is boring, I don't like it'

Players get a perspective of how the slots pay and what others think.

But hey, I DO like the thread Rob - sharing fave and least faves slots is great.

Your right - i agree with you and i love dead or alive slot - yes it can be hard to win big on it, and a bit boring at times - i usually fast spin when i play it haha, but it is still nice knowing there is a chance we can on that one, i saw many vids on youtube on that slot, and some of the wins are kinda scary lol smiley
