- MG has a mamothic selection of games, i think maybe 300+ and yet their best slots cannot compete with best of what netent has to offer, so i have no idea what is netent gaining by offering MG games in their software.
On one side MG raised quite a stir with Immortal Romance and when it came out i was totaly unimpressed with it, on the other side take a look at new netent slots lately, they are all really cool, inovative, feature rich, very nice betting range on all games suitable to all types of players, i would sey overall very complete slots.
- I see. That is then understandable. Well, I am most certainly looking forward for those NetEnt slots, especially Starburst. Looks like an interesting game that.
However, I do miss the uniqueness of Rival-slots in both MG and NetEnt. I've been playing casinos for 8 years now, and so far I've found the slots over at Rival to be really interesting, innovative, cool and mostly very generous. They got nice mix of gameplay as well as some awesome nice bonus features. Oh, and a simple way to way, I reckon.
What I do miss on basically MOST slots are expanded wilds during fs-feature that multiplies the win by x2 or x3. Sure, we have A LOT of games that offers expanded wilds in both normal and fs-feature, but normally they don't offer any x-values. AND if there are expanding wilds in the fs-feature, it either doesn't have a x-value OR the feature only adds expanded wilds to 1~3 reels. On Rival, take for instance Scary Riches 2, where they have a nice fs-feature where you get 13 fs and during the fs, the wilds will become expanded wilds on 4 or even 5 of the reels! Makes the fs more attractive and exciting that, IMO. And although that game doesn't have jackpot nor any bonus features, the fs covers for that, I reckon. The same with Cosmic Planet (Mission 1); 10x fs with expanded wilds on all reels + a nice bonus game feature where you have to have be active rather than just hit 1 button to progress. THAT kind of genuinity is what I am missing on MG and NetEnt. The closest that MG comes would be Santa's Wild Ride, where you can choose which kind of fs-feature you want, but other than that, there's not much.
And before you guys jump into arguments, I am only saying what I am MISSING on MG and NetEnt games, considering that they've got so many games to offer. They both got some darn interesting games, that's for sure. But with another addition of a game that would have such a feature would probably mean that their casino is rather "complete".
Nonetheless, I am most definitely looking forward to try out the new games that NetEnt has to offer. Going to be some exciting stuff that, I am sure of!
- Hey oriug, i cant help but to agree in everything what you just said, its definitely so true and im big Rival fan also. When i comment on some slot i always compare it in my head some Rivals that i like.
Dispite unmatched quality of Rivals i always long to see some new things on other sides and i just pointed in last post that mostly netent slots are the ones that catches my eyes lately. The reason i compare it to MG is that they constantly throw out new slots but not many of them has something new aside from simply new theme or graphics etc. Their greatest invention was basicaly 243 or 1024 way slot, a nice idea to play more with same money, sadly i havent much luck there so im gonna refrain myself of comenting payouts simply because i saw ppl on forum winning something on it
On the other hand netent tend to throw out slots like Jack and the Beanstalk with those very cool walking wilds and very unique free spins.
From Starburst i dont expect some extreme wins, rather smaller ones that happens more often, that is ofc IMO from what i saw on video, its all yet to be seen and confirmed when it comes out.
drtheolen, I was basically waiting for your comment, since it seems like me and you are the biggest Rival-fans here, although it sucks that no Rival casino allows EcoCard for norwegian users anymore, the same with all their promotions.. So that sucks, as I'd love to try out the old school games again.

And you are absolutely precise and accurate on your review of MG. Yeah, they do have a nice batch of slots, but the longevity of their slots isn't of Rival quality, even if you have several winning combinations etc. However, I do enjoy those slots at MG that gives you several bonus STAGES each time you get a bonus. Not just the same repetetive stage/scene/setting all the time. A good example on that is the new MG video slot "Lucky Witch". If you are lucky enough to get the bonus feature there, it's rather exciting, to be honest. You should try it out, if you haven't. I've tried that game so many times, but I found it boring since the bonus feature is the ONLY exciting feature on that game. The fs-feature is rather useless. 10x spins with no additional bonus either, so yeah.. Not many places where one can get that, to be honest.
Yes, you are absolutely right. Especially NetEnt seems to be taking things into another level when it comes to expanding the possibilities of video slots, as J&BS-slot have shown us. I really like its bonus feature and the fs-feature + the rolling wilds that includes fs. That's a goodie idea, I reckon. No wonder why it's become such a popular video slot. Another thing I do miss as a bonus feature would be a nice wheel of fortune-thing, like the one presented at Mega Fortune (NetEnt). It's always nice when you progress to the final wheel and you feel the heart is bumping even more.. Ahh.. such a thrilling feeling that, I tell you. Besides, it is a popular video slot since it contains such nice features. But yeah, it seems like NetEnt keeps on coming with nice, innovative, interesting and awesome slots for us to play on. Looking forward to the progress.
So yeah, there are heaps of interesting bonus features, free spin features and games to play. Just 1 very important factor missing: It seems like an impossible task to find a video slot that combines those 3 things/factors, whatsoever, which is quite so unfortunate.
So. Wouldn't be that far off if I'd say that NetEnt is "taking over" Rival when it comes to all the above mentioned stuff, hmm? MG is still behind, although they have like a dozen of slots to offer, but the fun factor is missing. And you ask why have fun when you are playing? Does one even need to say anything to see the answer in that question? But yeah, unless you are on auto-play, you DO wanna have fun while you're trying to win the cash, right?
Ah, getting stoked for the new Starburst now, yes!

- Yep, its all based on how many players are playing the same slot at a same casino.
If you for example consider an extreme situation where you are the only one playing a certain slot in certain casino, there is a very high probability you will hit nothing or something small most of the time and only on occasion something bigger.
On the other hand, if there is, say, 10 players with you on the same slot, there is more chance you will hit few big wins in a row, thus winning a lot of money while someone else nothing and vice versa. So you basicaly wait for a lot of ppl to start playing new slot so that winning streaks may start appearing
Thats the logic behind that idea, or at least that is what some ppl write across the web
Subtopia, the latest slot game from NetEnt, is set to launch February 21st at Vera John Casino.

The scene of Subtopia begins in a submarine traveling deep within uncharted waters.
The underwater adventure starts with 5-reels, 20-bet lines and Wild symbols. During your descent deeper into the abyss, you will see winnings randomly multiplied by up to 5x.

Subtopia Slot Review
- Im frankly a litlle sceptical regarding free spins, from what i saw on teaser video you get only 1 free spin when you win scatter feature, but every win adds both one more spin and increases multiplier. Certainly fresh and interesting concept on paper but hard to speculate will it prove good in real play.
