Please share: The ODD/ FRUSTRATING patterns you notice when online gaming

I don't believe land based casinos cheat.  They don't have to.  The math, probability and the weakness of human nature gives the house a nice edge.

Same thing with online casinos.  I don't think (the good ones) cheat, though I am convinced they use highly sophisticated software that gives them an additional edge.

But...here are the things that make me wonder....hmmmmm. 

1.  When playing off a bonus, the last 200-300 of play through is a disaster that chews down my bankroll.

2.  Blackjack.  Online gaming, I have lost 10-15 hands in a row.  NEVER come close to that loss rate at land based casinos.

3.  Slots.  WAY more near misses than land based!  And it seems just when the wheels are going to land in a favorable way, the screen "blinks" and the wheels land UNfavorably. 

Now, what have YOU noticed that makes you go "Hmmmmm....?"

Thats one of the reasons i NEVER use bonus i can never do the playthroughs always end up loosing when done 50-70% of it.

For blackjack ive giving up playing the dealer gets BJ/21 all the time when u got 19/20 in your hands its able to pull it off with 4-5cards almost everytime.

For slots land based here (denmark) when i hit even the lowest payout it gives me 100% pay back on the bid nothing lost, but for online ive noticed some patterns also with the freespins getting close you can on some slots 99% see if the last symbol gonna land on 5th wheel by the symbols showing when the 4th stops rolling, and on most slots if u see the freespin symbol on 5th as soon 4th stops u know 110% if wont come none real supprise atleast this is what ive noticed on microgaming.

OMFG!!!  You're inside my head Lips.  I can relate to everything you just said.  Anybody else?

I completely agree.  You know how many times when I first deposit with a casino I win and so I'll become a customer of theirs and never again do I win. 

Huhm, to simply put it; the online casinos are ODD/FRUSTRATING period!!!!

Lips....I agree with your list 100%  One week I won about $8000.  But, had ZERO, I mean ZERO, luck for weeks after that.

Agreed....I have never won on a free chip or comp money.  Not a dime.

And the near misses are CLEARLY software-planned!  As I wrote before, near-misses make the brain want to KEEP GOING!  In fact, one casino where I once had a $5000 hit on slots now keeps missing that same winning combo by one space! 

Oh yeah!  Every redeposit I have ever made was lost.  Every one!

So, I don't think the online casinos cheat, in a classical sense.  But, their software clearly adjusts/reacts to predictable human behavior.

Totally "on the money" there Lips.

Casinos are designed to take our money whichever way you look at it.  Their income is far more than any payouts they might make by a very long chalk and that's how they can issue their accounts and show millions of $$$ in profits.

They can say that their advertising was "great" which attracted more players, or that their "bonuses" were the best which again attracted more players but at the end of the day, your list is everything they need to keep our dough.

I live 20 mins from Foxwoods/MGM Grand in CT.  I like online casinos becuz of the convenience of playing without driving.  BUT - I have not won at all!  I review the casinos that appear in the top 10 here and deposit and play but never win.  I get a tease now and then but never make the playthru.  I like 9 line triple diamonds at Foxwoods and I hit the triple and sevens about 40% of the time - those are GREAT odds.  As for online - my patience is wearing extremely thin with them

Once i was told.. just say for instance you play 20 bucks in a poker machine and hit a fullhouse for 40 quarters.. thats 10 bucks and half your money back and is conscidered wins.. so if you are playing and hit straights, fullhouses, even a bunch of pairs, within that 20 you put in.. this is how they can prove the machines aren't tight or fixed... You hit 2 fullhouses thats your money back...even though you didn't cashout, this was something being explained to me about payback percentages, i hope you understand what i mean...

Though, the whole realm of probability makes your list a reality.  But, I can't believing that online casinos use "flirting software" that entices bets more so than land based casinos.

Mommy....You ask "what does it say about us?"  It says gambling is 1.  truly a hobby, 2.  We have problem gambling, or 3.  We have addiction issues!

Though...I have to say.  On my WORST months gambling, I still don't loose what my brother spends on his boating hobby! 

But, here I go being the EX psychologist that I am:  Virtually all gamblers have behind the scenes issues!

Lipps.....I agree.  We all have "issues."  The question is whether or not our issues cause us to live in (generally) healthy or unhealthy ways.

But sure......people certainly do unhealthy levels of gambling from "issues" other than addiction.

Well, I would totally agree with the list you put Lips. I'd add "Delay for ANY reason the cashout, in hopes they'll reverse it!"

That's why I like that section regarding reversing and offering help to not reverse the win.

IMO it is human nature to try to win an "unbeatable" game.  Also I think for many it is because of those "issues" (whatever they are) that make the gambling lures so appealing.

The only way to beat them is to join them!  I like to try to use the scatter/feature symbols as indicators.  If the game throws 2 at you on the first spin, or 2 of them a couple times within the first few spins, then definately get out.  I only stick around if I don't see any of these symbols comming up at all...

Its gross when the reel stops one space, you can actually see it stop just right before.  Like a turtle head poking out!

Its so true freddy seen it tons of times the 3rd scatter never comes you just loose big, what i hate is also if the symbol comes on first wheel its like bang ½sec all wheels stops looks strange now where the last 2 wheels might run for a much longer time if your missing the 3rd symbol most likely dosent matter for the RNG but just looks strange to the player.
