  • Hi LCB'ers,

Software is suppose to be programmed to give the same type of results and has no relevance whether you play in fun mode or real money mode. I decided to put it to the test across many online RTG casinos and see if there was any correlation as to what ones where hot and what ones were not in fun mode. If a slot was hot at one RTG casino does it mean its hot at them all? Also does playing in real cash mode produce the same results?

Sitting at the kitchen table me and two friends all log into different RTG Casinos and play the same stakes, same slot and same bankroll. We played the slot until one of us lost their bankroll and we would move on to a new slot and eventually a new casino.

The results were staggering at the similarities depending on which slot we played. If bonus rounds were far and in between for one of us then they were basically the same for all of us. If a slot had good payline wins then we all pretty much had them. And when a slot was a complete dud, it was for all of us.

Most of the Slots tested followed really close to real cash playing with no insane wins and the slots that had a reputation for paying better did.

Here are some of the slots we played and the results rated from 1 - 5 with 5 producing the highest payout, most bonus rounds and were considered the most loose:

Aztec Treasure and Aztec Treasure Feature - 3
    Builder Beaver - 3
    Count Spectacular - 2
    Diamond Dozen - 1
    Derby Dollars - 1
    Enchanted Garden - 3
    Glitz & Glamour - 2
Golden Lotus - 4 (surprise for me)
    Haunted Opera - 2
    Loch Ness Loot - 3
    Polar Explorer  - 5 ( Super hot)
    Mystic Dragon - 2
    Paydirt - 2
    Naughty or Nice - 2
    T-Rex - 4
    Texan Tycoon - 3
    Year of Fortune - 1

The similarities for all us was very close in results. This pretty much says that the software controls all casinos for the payout percentages and determines how loose or tight a slot is. It also is a good idea to play them in fun mode first to determine how they are paying.

If you want to try any casino games for free try them out here at LCB and let us know what kind of results you get vs real money playing. Free Games

  • thanks for the hard work u put in on this lips.I have tried before to play in fun mode with keno and had lots of luck even writting down some of the numbers that did really good, but as soon as i deposited and played it was a ride on the loser train >:(

  • This is very interesting to me, I enjoyed reading your post , htis is the sort of ideas we need to share around here.

  • Very interesting topic lips and great job you did there. Unlike most of the other software providers, I think when it comes to RTG and their fun mode, its pretty much realistic.

I've spent a lot of time in the past testing RTG's and those were mostly loosing sessions, with only a few huge hits so far, so it does look realistic to me. I can go so far to say that my real money play sessions were slightly more lucrative than the ones played in fun mode (although irrelevant, it does prove something from my point of view)

On the other hand, my experience with working down a wagers on free chips proved to be much less similar to deposited money play.

  • As an rtg fan i found this post to be very interesting. I have to agree with the rating on Polar Explorer. Thats a hot slot and ive been lucky on it.

  • Excellent idea lips i don't play fun mode but after reading your results it could be a pre-cursor before i deposit. What got me is you all played at different casinos with similar luck. Though like drtheolen i think free chips are on a different cycle all together.

  • I would have guessed playing for free would be looser. Good observation and will try out a few more of the slots i have not played yet or tried in a long time. Have not played golden lotus in forever.

  • I've always been a fan of Golden Lotus. It has been good to me. This is a cool post lips. Who would've thought that feverishly spinning for fun would uncover this information.
