Question about WMS Slot (Wizard Of Oz - Ruby Slippers)?

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask about how everyone who has played this slot from WMS in any of the now available online casinos (only - not land based casinos - just the online version).

What is your experience with this slot, i play this now at sky vegas casino and i can tell you that i can not win anything substantial on it at all, i just dont have any luck on it what so ever.

Average session on it of 200 spins at £0.30 spin and i usually dont even get a bonus in it or the glinda wild, it just sucks totally for me, i have no idea why.

Is it the same for other people too??

I don't have any problem winning on the first version of wizard of oz, i just think this second version is just 10 times tighter, dead spin after dead spin and wins of like 5p or 10p is just a joke, my biggest win to date on this slot is like £35, its a joke when i spent a lot lot more than that to even get that win too.

Please can people detail how this slot is for them

I've played this slot a bit on the backdoor side of Jackpot Party online.
I still yet to hit something about 40 pounds on a 1.5 pound bet.
Pretty horrible pay out I'll agree if you ask me.

Now taking it to the land based casino side, I have won quite a pretty sum on it one time.  I was betting max bet $2.40.  I ended up with around $1,300 in one shot.

I'm going to tend to believe the online version could end up with the same result.  Yet how and if feel that generous would be told.  Here in a few moments I'll see if I can get some actual screen shots or winners videos of the new slot online.

Thanks but no need for screenshots, i know the potential this slot has, i saw many many many videos of it on youtube, for land based casinos and online casinos.

I believe that the online versions payout is soo much tighter than land based, i mean after-all it is online so the RTP will be a bit different and the RNG will be different too, because it is an online RNG and not a land based casino RNG.

I don't think land based casino RNG is the same as online versions either but i could be wrong.

I had a few sessions for fun on this slot, I was pretty interested to see its features but wasn't able to trigger it, not even once. Its obviously a very high variance slot so its quite expected to be very tight, particularly when having its really huge potential in mind.

It is very annoying that many pages of feature explanation in paytable were omitted in the version of game offered outside Jackpotparty casino.

I just played it again and all i had was a £29 win on it not 1 bonus, just had glinda once, then as soon as i hit the £29 it went cold, but it was cold already even before i hit that £29, then it just took it straight back as usual.

SERIOUSLY this slot is a total total scam joke it really is soo bad.

While in the UK i played the Wizard of Oz series of Slots and had no luck at all. In my experience both online and at land based most branded Slots whether they are WMS or IGT etc never seem to payout real well. Yet players flock to it for the fantastic animation and graphics. I have always avoided them.

Sometimes i think the mind set of these software is if it's a real showcase of spectacular graphics and characters from related blockbuster movies, TV shows and music legends its enough to draw interest to play and they neglect the win factor.

I have never won Ruby Slippers. I have also seen the wins and I'm dumbfounded as to how these players won. I've never triggered a feature either online or off. Maybe we're just playing at the wrong times. The fun ones also seen to lack when it comes to payouts. Even IGT's Ghostbusters was a joke. Awesome slot but horrible pays.

I have played that slot a couple of times and I did trigger the ruby slippers feature just the once.  The payout wasn't great so I left the slot and went back to my favourite.  I doubt I'll play it again but if I do, it would only be a fiver's worth!

I have preyed to get those slippers and have never got them. It's one of my favorites yet I've never hit big. Go figure.

@Lipstick - U have a total valid point, i think your spot on there in what you said

@everyone - I have had the slippers many many times but i usually win just £1 or less or a few pound about 95% of the time i get them. and same with features, they come very very rarely, very very hard to trigger the feature and when it does i win basically a few pound on them, and when i do get a win of over £10 or £20 it just takes it back instantly afterwards, so giving no playtime.

this slot just does not like to give much playtime for your money either it is such a shame.

If you want a playtime, this is a wrong game to play, that is quite obvious. Also, if you make a small deposit of 20-50 euros, its also not a good idea to play this slot, chances are big that you will burn your balance within few minutes and end up quite frustrated.

Why do we do this to ourselves and go back for more. Those ruby slippers and all those wild reels just look so good!  The payout would be outstanding if we could just get the feature!

@drtheolen - yep agree with you too, but it is crazy though, i wonder if a good test on this slot would be depositing £50 each day for a whole month and playing the slot at exactly the same time every day for 31 days in 1 month, i wonder what the outcome would be, well i dont have that kind of money to try, but it certainly would be interesting too see how bad it actually is, and that would probably prove a lot too regarding how the slot pays and it might then prove it doesnt matter when or what day or time we play the slot. who knows

These type of machines are just hard to resist and they are designed that way for a reason to draw us gamblers in. I know you said RJ not to refer to Land based Casinos but please allow me to say, here in the US there are sooooooooooo many of these branded type machines that are not available online.

They are sooooooooo splashy you can see them clear across the casino floor and they are a huge monster of a machine and have features that will blow you away. For example that Ghost Busters Slot has these big over-sized cushy chair that actually vibrate as you are playing. Players are waiting in line to get a seat but do they pay well? Not at all but hey the seats vibrate, it blasts the famous Ghost Buster song and attracts a crowd.

I say stay way from them!

Regarding testing, you can always do it here RJ, on LCB's Free Games page. WMS slots have been added a month ago or so (at least those available outside Jackpot Party Casino).

Now, when it comes to graphics and what you've said lips, Im not that amazed with WMS and IGT slots delivered for online market. Last week I saw some screenshots of WMS and IGT games available on land based casinos and it was stunning. I dont see the same quality online at the moment, hopefully they're gonna release those slots online some time in the future.

Some are more splashy than other Slots, primarily the branded machines. However i do think the animation is awesome on Kronos for example with the intense sound effects and expanding Wilds and the potential of hitting 100 Free Spins.  I just think overall there is a higher thrill factor than some other software.

There is some logic behind the madness of  having zero credits during a bonus round which WMS is notorious for. Because when that Bonus round does pay it has the ability to pay BIG and players are surprisingly willing to take a beating on bummer bonus rounds waiting for it to happen. It is a concept on WMS' part that ironically works with the noted popularity it has.

And there are some WMS Slots found online that are not available in any land based casino, at least from any casino i have been in like Bruce Lee Slot, another do or die winning experience.

@drtheolen - when i said about testing - testing in fun play is different and that would not constitute as a valid result or none result because it is fun play, the only way that test at what i said would be viable is in real play, depositing £50 and playing the same slot, ruby slippers at exactly the same time every day for a whole month.

@lipstick - i find bruce lee slot a lot less mean compared to ruby slippers, i think ruby slippers is a little more high variant than bruce lee, because many times i can get some nice playtime for a £30 deposit on bruce lee, getting some wins then losing and winning and it kinda repeats itself, but just never getting that big hit on bruce lee, but i do find bruce lee not as bad as ruby slippers

You guys are lucky to play wms slots online. In America we can't even play 'em for free. From what i see though looks like there is a lot less available to play online compared to brick & mortar casinos.

But i know what you mean buddy they run hot and cold and money goes down the drain fast trying to win.
