Variance Percentages

I just read PMM posts about loving slots and the RNG - Random Number Generator and that the casinos cannot manipulate them to pay in your favor.  I too LOVE slots and play NOTHING else, I have played for over 20 yrs now. I use to believe that when I make my deposit I spin and win or lose that it was just the machine and I was being lucky or not, but it was not being manipulated by some guy behind the curtain (like the wizard of OZ) don't mind that guy and that my account was clicked on LOSE at every spin. I just read a Casino Operator who ADMITTED that "YES" casinos CAN and DO manipulate the pay variance percentages of slots machines and he even asked the player to tell him which slots he favors so that he can set the percentage to like a 98% payout to give him better odds. Of course this will affect all the players while they are playing the same games at the same time to the payout of 98% payout. I greatly appreciate his honesty and he stated this is NOT a secret in the industry. The RNG - Random Number Generator is a totally different thing we are talking about here. That IS RANDOM and that CANNOT be manipulated, If you win the RANDOM you were suppose to win (Casino Operator stated this) and it is true. But the VARIANCE of the games you are playing there are high variance and low variance games this is TRUE and will always be. If you are playing after several spins and do not feel good change to another game. And just like this Casino Operator RTG by the way stated Players do not get mad when you ask for transperancy and when the casinos tell you that YES we change the percentage payouts on games then you want to shame the casinos for the truth.  It does not work both ways. Anyone can google these FACTS can casinos change the PERCENTAGE payouts on games, I appreciate the TRUTH and if I don't feel good about a game I switch to another one.

The casino operator can choose which EPROM chip to install in ... would allow the casino's management to change the game, the odds, ...

First off, I thank you for reading my blog.  :)

Also, I am aware that casino's can change the "CARD" in the machine to change the payout rate on any machine, but it is a costly endeavor, and also must be reported and kept track of by the gaming industry.

Is this the "change" your speaking of?

YES, By the way I meant no disrepect to you at all.  I myself have, like ALOT of players in the past couple of weeks have had a suspicion that my deposits are only lasting about 5 mins, and I got the feeling that I was on the LIST at some casinos to program my every spin as LOSE. After like 50 spins and NO BONUS. Then I read on a VERY REPUTABLE FORUM, besides ours tee hee. That an RTG OPERATOR said to a player that pick 3 games and tell me when you are logging on to play and i WILL CHANGE the PERCENTAGE TO A HIGHER ONE LIKE 98% to make sure you get a good run. Then the player asked can you MANIPULATE the RANDOMS the CASINO Operator said "NO" of course not these are truly RANDOM. BTW- THIS CASINO OPERATOR who admitted this is on THIS SITE. I would rather KNOW the truth and that feeling I get when I know that something is just not right and my money is fading fast then I trust my gut feeling and change games. But ALOT of players are feeling what I am feeling lately and WOULD NEVER suspect that CASINO OPERATORS CAN AND DO change the payout percentages at will.

IT IS FOR ALL, I think you are thinking I set this at the player level. In this thought your are incorrect, I set the machine and all players playing these slots have the same shot.

One players comment on the ability to change the payout percentage confirmed that the casino can change the RTP at will. That's exactly what everyone's point is here. Not that a % point or two is going to change anyone's outcome in the short run, it's just the fact that you could do it at will.

What other waves of the magic wand can you perform with the software?

Lets say I'm playing at one of your sites, and spike a good hit lets say for 10k. I'm thinking it's my lucky day and continue to surf the different games, of course raising my bets.

Can you follow me around and whatever game I'm playing can you tweak it for the worst in an effort to get your money back?

Like you said of course everyone playing the games you randomly can change are all subject to the same %. This of course would mean that although I'm still up having fun pissing my money back to you, the poor soul's trying to have a good time for cheap will have no chance at all, and just chalk it up as a bad session.

And we talk about moving percentages around from 95.0 to 97.5, but are you capable of knocking it down to 60.0 or even worse if you want? And even if you say that you only have the power to move around a point or two, why should we believe you?

Like I said before, all this could be much more then we could have even suspected.

Casino Operators response:In theory, yes someone would be able to do that. No, not 60% lowest is I think 91%, depending on machine, but would have to look up. But keep in mind, the random jackpot, that is 100% random, could not adjust that.

Casino Operator: I think you are all misunderstanding. I can adjust a machine fo course, btu would be for ALL players, not adjust a setting for just one player.

So if Fruit Frenzy is set to 97.5%, ALL players have the same setting, not just one.

Playing the machines for free or with money is the SAME settings. Please do not come to conclusions that are not correct.

Transparency, honesty, fair play is all we ask for and players should be treated fairly not matter where they are geographically or monitarily.

Players comment:One of the reasons it is unfair to alter payout rates adhoc is the casino can carefully monitor the level of deposits coming in at any given time. If its a day when there are of lots of incoming smaller deposits they can set it higher than if they have a day where there are some large deposits.

Example setting 92% of somebody’s 10k is better than setting 97% of someone elses £50. So in effect they can maximise their profits just by timing the tweaks to their advantage.

Obviously the casino is in business to make money, but with slots having a low house edge to start with, it just seems unnecessary to change the payout settings. Personally I think the only thing the casino should be allowed to alter is cosmetics, things which do not affect the game play.

Its a bit like having a credit card and not knowing what the interest rates are from one day to the next, all you have is a vague idea they are between this % and that %. Hence why my RTG deposits are currently set at my lowest % ie 0!

Can you tell me approx time you tired live chat so i can review? I am not happy about that response time either, and I will look into it. I do test them regularly and a quick look at reports here shows no time like this, but I am only skimming them.

Also what I was meaning yes I got quite a bit of play out of the 400% coupon but the 777% went like water and the N/D went just as fast. I realize playing $1.25 to $1.50 a spin does tend to make $190 and $100 go rather quickly but I suppose. If your slots were set as high as they were that they'd at least bring me up and down for a bit on the other 2 coupons too.
I'll leave it at this, when I deposit I don't expect a great win every time nor do I expect the machines to always give me a good run for my money. I was silly and made several deposits at Cherry Red before winning. I plan on doing the same at your casino, so I plan on being back. Just would like to see my money last a bit longer is all.

This is truely disturbing.. gosh it ruins my perception that i have the same chance as everyone, win or lose. I don't want to be winning because someone set the machine or game to do it PURPOSELY for someone, nor lose it all on the vice-versa Now thats what i'd think.. oh im winning or losing because someone PM'd the casino operator to up the percentages Blah!

I know in casinos it's true, they move those chips around, it's a matter of sitting at that right one..and of course they do post on some machines the percentages above which can be different for sets of machines in rows in the same casino.

I for one TRULY APPRECIATE the transparency, I just know now that if I am not winning on a game i will change right away.  I just hope ALL PLAYERS read this and BELIEVE IT!!!!   hmmm...  so it seems it is the same as land based casinos... except instead of the right machine it is the right game to play.  I wonder if the games that are involved in tournaments are set higher during the time the tourniment is playing...

I posted something on this a while back! On this very same casino operator who had this convo on another forum and is indeed on this forum and started off very available and now you can barely get a hold of the operator by pm and the presence of the operator on the forum is basically non existence(by the way this is a hint without outright saying the name) RTG

I also posted a while back where I read somewhere that they can customize each players account according to the status of the player. ie, bonuses, payout % and so on.

I also posted that another casino operator(TopGame) told me that they control the software(not the software provider) and can change it to whatever they want. But he said they are tested and if caught(but not guaranteed to be) the could be fined, but it could also just be a warning! And that their are online casinos that change it too almost no chance of winning, but they are not the reputable ones, he said.

I have a very strong intuition and from the very beginning of me playing online slots, I knew stuff was being messed with, something just felt wrong :-\
I play very little and the only reason I even do that is because I love slots and my local land casino tore down the non smoking section to build a bigger one and it is still not ready
