Casinos offer these sign-up bonuses which have their stips, like... money is funded to new players and cannot be withdrawn, it is to try our casino blah blah blah, furthermore, any winnings cannot be withdrawn, only played.. makes it just play money.. how do you get a feel of a casino with play money, theres times I got this play money, slots seem loose and fun, now its time for real money, you deposit and its a whole different feel... I get leary towards a casino with stips like that, a lot give you real money real play, of course they have withdraw stipulations, but its REAL and its REAL casino play.. anyone have thoughts on this?

I'm not much of a free chip player for all the reasons you mentioned. I don't need to try out the games because I know them all. The payouts are small and there is too many restrictions on what games to play and most the time you have to end up making a deposit anyway.

I like these casinos that have a $100 cap to cash in on and the minimum withdrawal is something like $300 and you're SOL.

I see what you're saying Imagin. Sometimes using a NDB is no different than playing the slots in fun mode. Without withdrawing or depositing, it's tough to determine a good casino.

I have never seen a bonus where you cant cashout what you won, now I do understand that a lot of bonuses are deducted from winnings when cashing out.

In terms of fun play, I never judge a casino on how the play mode goes, I do expect lots of casinos to increase wins to make you think you will win if you deposit.

It seems to me that so called "free trial" bonuses are offered in those casinos that cannot be played for fun (or at least part of their games cannot be played in fun mode) and its most noticable on bingo where more bingo rooms every day offer free trials instead of ndb. From my perspective, I wouldnt call it a bonus, its just a limited amount of fun play which is mostly worse than common practice play where at least you can play as much as you like.

Regarding fun play and real money play differencies, from my experience there isnt any difference (or at least there isnt any noticable difference) when it comes to major software providers like RTG, Rival, Microgaming, NetEnt, Betsoft and similar. IGT however has a noticable difference for example and that Im pretty sure of.

I like all those ND offers but yes, I also get the right feeling when playing for real. I must admit that I haven''t noticed any big difference between practice and real money mode; I'm sure about that with NetEnt , RTG and Rival games since I  played them the most.

I agree, I like to play the ones that offer a free trial only because I  like play regardless. I defiantly see more wins with play money vs real money on some sites.

Fun Mode play plays way different than real play.  They lure you in with the fun mode then everything changes when you are playing in real model and what is even worse is if you happen to hit a random jackpot while playing in free mode you cant collect the cash ... it has happened to me 2 times already!

I agree with you. I also notice the difference with IGT slots. The payout tends to be better during fun play but the bonuses are still stingy either way.

I think the practice play is just about the same as real play. Practice play is tight at least when I played the rtg slots.

One thing that I noticed with rtg slots is that what is loose in fun mode at one casino is loose at the others. When I play for real the same applies and when the slots are not paying at one they are not paying at the others. It almost seems very uniform with the general software.
