I mainly play at RTG casinos but lately I have played a little more at Rivals.  I have cashed out a few times at Vegas Regal.

So I get a bonus round on a Rival game and then switch games.  Whatever happens (win or lose on that day playing all the games) I quit for the day at that casino.  I have noticed that when I go back to a slot 2 or 3 days later or sometimes a week later at the same casino it shows the last win I had on that slot when I last played it.  I have found that I never win again on that slot if it was a fairly big win when I played it last.  Most times it is very cold.

The slot must not reset at all and it is like it is never played since the last time I played it.  Like at a land casino, you win and leave it and in the meantime other people play it.  At RTG casinos the slots don't show the last win you had when played a few days earlier.  Maybe it just a mind game?

What are your thoughts on this?

        Thanks,

        medtrans

        Hi Med,

Every slot you play will leave you exactly where you left off at when you go back. RTG is the same way. The only difference is how much you won on that last spin does not show up. Many casinos are set up this way and i notice it even on bingo slots.

It is like keeping the history of last game played on each slot. But due to the Random Number Generator (RNG) your spins are random. It is irrelevant what your last play was and will not effect the outcome of futures spins.

When you spin you are in a pool of other spinners at that given moment. The RNG is randomly giving out combinations of spins on the reels along with all of you playing at the same time.

For example when you won the Random Jackpot, at that precise second of your spin that jackpot could of went to any player who was spinning at the same time as you. You happened to be the player that clicked the spin when the RNG happened to generate the jackpot.

If you had paused for just a second.......someone else would of won it if they clicked at that second you paused.

Hope it makes sense and i don't think you have any need for concern. I really don't think there is foul play.

I too have dabbled a bit in Rival slots lately but at heart am a RTG player. I am curious to know your thoughts on Rival verse RTG. I for one think the bonus rounds at RTG pay a lot more then Rival slots.

Microgaming is the same.  The slot will always show your last win as though you just never logged out of it.

The slots are set up mechanically like brick and mortar casino slots. I like to leave a smile on the machine when i win at casino. Anyone play a machine with a jackpot showing or avoid it? I walk past it and head to the bar because it wasn't me who won.

        Thanks for all your responses.

Lips, I see what you are saying, but when I win $400 betting 1.00 at rivals and I go back to that slot a few days later it is cold as ice.  And I mean cold.  So it makes me not want to play it again, but at some point you run out of slots to play and you have to go back to it.  My feeling is that I have to put so many spins in to get another decent win that it is not worth it.

I too prefer RTG.  Not only do the free spins seem to pay more, but you also have a chance at the random jackpot too.

Liquorman, I too avoid playing slots that someone has left with a jackpot won.  I guess my feeling is that it won't pay for a while again.  But, but, but a couple times I have seen someone win two royal flushes at video poker within a few hands on the same machine.  That's when I gotta believe what Lips said is true.

Guess that's why they call it gambling!

Hard predicting what them machines are going to do next. I walked out on a slot with with a big a big smile on the screen and seen someone sit down and hit another jackpot. Want to kick myself in the arse for walking away.

Once I hit the bonus round on a machine (and win something decent) I usually leave it and go on to another machine.  Sometimes I stay on it to see if it is hot, but usually it goes cold.  Maybe I should try sticking to it a little longer?  Guess no one knows.  It's all when luck is on your side.

I tend to pick the ones that show a jackpot on the last spin because to me that means that machine is paying... when I walk away from a machine I usually go away far and fast because I do not want to know that next coin is the one that hits... even if I do know what lips says is the truth gamblers are a superstitious lot and I am no exception to the rule!

as I understand, the games at rivals are not reset.  If you got the bonus round on your last play, you come back in a year, you will see the bonus symbols and your last amount of winning from that bonus round.  If you continue to play whether you will get more hits or not, it depends on your luck.
