slots - how many lines to play & how much to bet per line - what is best option?

when playing slots,

assuming you have a fixed bet amount per spin,  is it better to play maximum lines with lower bet $ per line,,, medium number of lines with medium bet per line,,, or lower number of lines with higher bet $ per line...thanks for any answers

Hi depth, welcome to LCB... I don't really know a definite answer to your question, but one caution comes to mind... watch out for slots that have bonus rounds, jackpots, extra spins ONLY if you deposit MAX coins... ones like this could be very frustrating if you use less than max and then hit something that would be big if you had bet them all.

Hi depth and welcome to the forum. 

Personally I only bet 2 coins at max lines.  I've found that keeping it low, means you stand a better chance of winning.  If there are 50 lines, I will bet 1 coin and if there are 9 lines I may well bet up to 4 coins.  I try to keep the bet at or below 60c if I can.  Helps the money go further too.

According to the Randon Number Generator (RNG) it is not suppose to matter what coin value a player bets and will not effect the outcome of winning/losing ratios. I have always found this to be very difficult to believe because more often than not as soon as i raise my bet the slot dies on me.

I think it's always better to play all lines. There is nothing worse then playing only a few lines and then miss a huge line win. The only time i have not played all lines is when my bankroll is down to a few cents. There has been a time or two i have rebounded with my last few pennies but i always think the casino is tempting and taunting me to make another deposit  .

I am not sure there is really a system with slots and instead more like being in the right place at the right time.

Probably the best way to play any slot is by it's performance. If the slot is not paying move on or if you hit a big one and the machine doesn't pay out anything for awhile after that then get off it. This is a lesson i really need to learn because i always end up thinking i have soaked so much money in this slot it's bound to hit and it never does.

Every online casino has dud machine just like the land based casino do. Stick to the more popular slots and leave behind the hardly heard of or played slots.

I'll say this.. i always have played max lines.. a couple of times i lowered lines.. this one occasion i hit 5 scatters would of been 10,000 coin hit only paid 200, and those 5 scatters gave me 50 free spins..in the free spins i was only paid on the lines i bet.. i would of hit a very big jackpot of cash.. so ever since then i only play max lines, as far as bet per line that varies for me if i got the cash ill load them up if im low maybe 2 per line... my experience has to to beleive to always play max lines but bet per line can vary..

on microgaming slots such as mega moolah,hitman avalon and tomb raider I only bet 7 lines as those are the ones most wins come up on I find if i have a feeling something bigs coming i change stake to 3X7 or 4X7 good luck
