Tourney cancelled - no explanation

        I joined a $2 + $1 tourney at Jackpot Capital.  There were 10 players and it was only a 5 minute tourney.  The top score was 6000+ so I decided to have a go.

        I actually managed to score well over 11,000 so I was the leader.  I had a look today to see where I was...and the tournament was cancelled!    I went to live chat to find out why the tourney was cancelled and the guy said that the "tourney department" are not here so he will email me later wiht details as to why it was cancelled.

        So all I got back was my original $3 buyin.  I'm really not happy about this.

        Has this happened to anyone else here or at any other of the RTG casinos?

        Well - unless I get a very good explanation, they wont see any more of my money.  I'll go somewhere else.

        Thats just bullsh*t if they wont give you a proper reason, if its just 5min not much can go wrong, and you won fair.

        I just got an email from them and this was their explanation:

        "I have now asked at our tournament department why the tournament was
        cancelled and got the information that this happened due to technical
        issues.
        "

        Ah well - their loss.

        That's just not right especially considering their excuse given was not the best/enough. Why should any player lose of what was rightfully his just because they had the problem in their hands. I don't care how great casino might be if they can't admit their errors and take care of their members then it is not a good one to be trusted.

        Not a very good explanation. They should give you a free tournament entry a free chip, something.


        I don't think I would be going back there either.

        Thanks everyone.  Sadly it's one of my fave casinos.  Never had any other problems with them - they have always been fair and pay on time, never quibble about paying out etc....such a disappointment.

        You're right Imagin - Taaadaaa is totally right.  It had started with no problems.  I think 9 of the 11 entrants had played already although it was open for another 13 hours or something after I played.  Even so, if one person had technical difficulties, then surely they would just refund their money and take them out of the tourney. 

        I am going to email them and complain and I expect a little bit more than just my refund!  I'll update this thread when I hear back.
