you can gamble online as long as you don't deposit or withdraw any money.  The companies that provide the transactions for depositing and withdrawing (your bank, your credit card companies, etc...) will face federal charges if they let you deposit or withdraw.  The money processors and casinos are trying hard to think of ways to help you deposit and/or withdraw by concealing their true purposes/identities.  Just like with prohibition, now you can get around the intent of the law in more creative ways but since you know what you are doing is not what your government wants you to be doing, well, be prepared if your transactions don't work out for you as expected.

....and about taxing the casinos who are not in the jurisdiction.  All the casinos that are licensed in Costa Rica, Isle of Man etc do not pay any taxes to the US Government.

The problem (in my opinion) is that the government wants a cut....avarice and greed go hand in hand.  It's a shame that the United States is supposed to be the land of the free.........

I agree, they just want their share...
I know..It's a sad day when you live in America, and you can't spin a slot in your own damn house...with your own damn money.

the landbased casino lobby (vegas, atlantic city, biloxi )do not want the online gambling to take away from their profits. the lobbyists win over the peoples individual rights and freedom. as always. they disguised this illegal on line usa gambling  law under some foolish bill about money laundering and 9/11. we the people are dumb, remember?
